Malathion manufacturers

When sourcing Malathion, the purity level (Technical Grade) is the most critical factor, typically requiring 95% or higher for industrial use. You must verify the CAS Number (121-75-5) to ensure chemical authenticity. For formulated products like Emulsifiable Concentrates (EC) or Ultra-Low Volume (ULV) liquids, check the emulsification stability and cold test performance to ensure the product remains effective during storage and application.

As an organophosphate insecticide, Malathion is strictly regulated. Suppliers must provide a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every batch. Ensure the product meets FAO/WHO specifications. For specific markets, check for EPA registration (USA) or REACH compliance (EU). Additionally, the manufacturer should hold ISO 9001 for quality management and ISO 14001 for environmental standards.

Malathion is widely used in agricultural pest control (for fruits, vegetables, and field crops), public health programs (mosquito abatement), and residential gardening. Buyers should select the formulation based on the application method: ULV formulations are best for aerial or truck-mounted fogging, while EC formulations are preferred for traditional crop spraying due to their high knockdown effect and low mammalian toxicity compared to other organophosphates.

Malathion is sensitive to high temperatures, which can lead to the formation of Isomalathion, a more toxic impurity. Ensure the supplier uses fluorinated HDPE bottles or UN-approved steel drums with internal coatings to prevent corrosion. Packaging must include Hazardous Material (HazMat) labeling (Class 6.1 or Class 9 depending on concentration). Storage instructions must specify a cool, dry, and well-ventilated warehouse away from direct sunlight.

Always use Secure Payment terms or Letters of Credit (L/C) to protect your capital. Before full payment, mandate a third-party inspection (such as SGS or BV) to verify the active ingredient content and impurity levels at the loading port. On Made-in-China.com, prioritize Audited Suppliers who have undergone comprehensive on-site verification of their production capabilities and legal standing.

Malathion is often classified as a Dangerous Good (DG) for international transport. You must work with a freight forwarder experienced in IMO Class 9 (Environmentally Hazardous Substances) or Class 6.1. Ensure the supplier provides a Dangerous Goods Declaration and that the vessel or aircraft accepts chemical cargo. For shipping to specific regions, confirm the HS Code (typically 3808.91) to calculate accurate customs duties and avoid clearance delays.

Negotiate based on volume-tiered pricing; typically, orders exceeding 5 metric tons can secure a 10-15% discount. Discuss the lead time clearly, as chemical production cycles can be affected by environmental protection inspections in the manufacturing country. Request a pre-shipment sample from the actual production lot to ensure it matches the technical specifications agreed upon in the contract.
