Wholesale glass cabinet knobs manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize K9 Crystal or high-borosilicate glass for superior clarity and refractive index. Ensure the base material is made of solid brass or zinc alloy rather than hollow aluminum to provide necessary weight and durability. For the adhesive, verify the use of UV-cured transparent epoxy to prevent the glass from detaching from the metal base under high-tension use.

For the North American market, ensure products meet CPSIA standards regarding lead content in coatings and substrates. For the EU, REACH and RoHS certifications are mandatory to ensure the absence of hazardous substances like cadmium or hexavalent chromium in the metal plating. Additionally, look for suppliers with ISO 9001 certification to guarantee consistent batch quality.

Request Salt Spray Test reports (typically 24 to 48 hours) to ensure the metal base is resistant to corrosion and oxidation, especially for kitchen and bathroom environments. Perform a tension test to confirm the knob can withstand at least 30-50 lbs of pulling force without the glass separating. Also, check for thread precision to ensure compatibility with standard M4 or 8-32 screws.

Most professional manufacturers on Made-in-China.com offer OEM/ODM services, including custom glass shapes (diamond, bubble, or faceted), electroplating finishes (brushed nickel, antique bronze, or PVD gold), and laser-etched logos on the metal base. Custom screw lengths should also be requested to accommodate different cabinet door thicknesses (e.g., 20mm to 45mm).

Glass products are fragile; insist on individual bubble wrap packaging or custom-molded EPE foam inserts for each unit. Ensure the outer cartons are double-walled corrugated fiberboard with a bursting strength of at least 200 lbs. It is highly recommended to use palletized shipping for bulk orders to minimize manual handling shocks.

Focus on tiered pricing based on volume; for glass knobs, a 20-30% price drop is common when moving from 500 to 5,000 units. Negotiate for free spare parts (1-2% extra units) to cover potential transit damage. Always clarify the Incoterms (FOB vs. DDP) early to avoid hidden logistics surcharges at the destination port.

Utilize the Secured Trading Service on Made-in-China.com to protect your payment until the goods are shipped. Before placing a large order, hire a third-party inspection agency (like SGS or Intertek) to conduct a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) to verify that the glass clarity and thread quality match the approved samples.

For the US, be aware of Section 301 tariffs if sourcing from China, which may impact your total landed cost. For Europe, ensure the EORI number is ready for customs clearance. For small-to-medium wholesale batches, Air Express (DHL/FedEx) is faster but costly; for orders over 100kg, Sea Freight or LCL (Less than Container Load) is the most economically feasible method.
