Wholesale dartboard set manufacturers

For high-end wholesale orders, prioritize Sisal (Bristle) dartboards over paper or wooden alternatives. Ensure the board uses African Sisal for its self-healing properties and durability. Look for knife-wire or blade-wire spiders (the metal dividers) rather than round wires to minimize bounce-outs and increase the scoring area. Additionally, verify that the board is staple-free in the bullseye area to enhance product longevity and professional appeal.

Ensure the products meet WDF (World Darts Federation) standard dimensions, which is typically an 18-inch (45cm) diameter. For the darts included in the set, compliance with REACH or RoHS is essential to ensure that the metal alloys (especially if using lead-based weights) and plastic flights do not contain harmful chemicals. If the set is marketed for home use, it must pass EN71 (European Toy Safety Standard) or ASTM F963 for physical and mechanical hazards.

The value of a set often depends on the dart barrels. For entry-level wholesale, brass or stainless steel is common, but for premium markets, look for Tungsten alloys (70%-90% content). Tungsten allows for a slimmer barrel design which enables tighter grouping. Check the weight consistency across the set (e.g., a variance of less than 0.1g) and ensure the 2BA thread size is used for shafts and tips to ensure universal compatibility with replacement parts.

B2B buyers should inquire about custom-printed flights and surrounds for brand visibility. Many top-tier suppliers on Made-in-China.com offer laser-engraving on the barrels and custom-designed packaging for retail readiness. Ensure the supplier can provide UV-resistant inks for the dartboard surface to prevent fading under bright tournament lighting.

Dartboards are high-density and heavy items (approx. 5kg per unit), making them susceptible to moisture damage and mold during long-term sea freight. Insist on desiccant packs in every master carton and use double-walled corrugated boxes. To optimize costs, calculate the container load factor carefully, as these items often hit weight limits before volume limits.

Start by requesting a tiered pricing structure based on volume (e.g., 100, 500, and 1000 sets). Negotiate for a sample fee rebate where the cost of the sample is deducted from the first bulk order. For long-term partnerships, aim for FOB (Free On Board) terms to maintain control over your shipping costs and choose your own freight forwarder.

Always use Secured Trading Services provided by Made-in-China.com to protect your payment. Never transfer full payment upfront; a standard 30% deposit and 70% balance against the Bill of Lading (B/L) is recommended. Conduct a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) through a third-party agency to verify the sisal density and wire alignment before the final payment is released.

Check the HS Code (typically 9504.30 or 9504.90) for your specific country to determine import duties. For example, U.S. buyers should check for Section 301 tariffs on Chinese-made sporting goods. Ensure the supplier provides a Certificate of Origin to potentially benefit from preferential trade agreements or to satisfy customs documentation requirements.
