Washers manufacturers

Material selection is critical for durability. For general use, Carbon Steel (Grade 4.8/8.8) is standard. For corrosive environments, prioritize Stainless Steel 304 or 316. If the application involves high-stress machinery, specify Hardened Steel (HRC 35-45) to prevent deformation under heavy bolt tension.

Ensure the supplier adheres to global benchmarks such as DIN (e.g., DIN 125, DIN 9021), ISO (e.g., ISO 7089), or ANSI/ASME B18.22.1. For electronics or automotive exports, verify RoHS and REACH compliance to ensure the absence of hazardous substances like lead or hexavalent chromium.

Surface finish determines corrosion resistance. Zinc Plating (Galvanized) is cost-effective for indoor use. Hot-Dip Galvanizing (HDG) offers superior protection for outdoor construction. For high-end aesthetics or extreme salt-spray resistance, consider Dacromet or Geomet coatings, which provide over 500-1000 hours of salt spray test (SST) endurance.

Focus on Inner Diameter (ID), Outer Diameter (OD), and Thickness. Even a 0.1mm variance can lead to improper load distribution. Request a Material Test Report (MTR) and a Dimensional Inspection Report from the manufacturer before the goods leave the factory.

Always request a Third-Party Inspection (TPI) such as SGS or Intertek to perform a Spectrometer Analysis on-site. This confirms the chemical composition (e.g., Nickel and Chromium content) matches your order specifications, preventing the common 'bait and switch' with cheaper alloys.

Focus on Weight-based vs. Piece-based pricing. In bulk fastener trade, prices fluctuate with the Steel Index. Negotiate a price formula tied to raw material costs and ensure the packaging (e.g., 25kg reinforced cartons on fumigated pallets) is included in the FOB price to prevent transit damage.

Washers are high-density cargo. Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) is the most economical method. Ensure your supplier provides an accurate HS Code (typically 731822) to avoid customs delays. For large volumes, sourcing via Made-in-China.com allows you to utilize Secured Trading Services to protect your payment until the Bill of Lading is verified.

Use Escrow-based payment systems or Letters of Credit (L/C) for large industrial orders. Avoid 100% upfront payments; a standard 30% deposit and 70% balance against the Copy of B/L is the industry norm for reputable exporters on platforms like Made-in-China.com.
