Walking chair manufacturers

When evaluating walking chairs (rollators or hybrid transport chairs), prioritize frame material, typically high-grade aluminum for a balance of lightness and strength. Ensure the weight capacity meets your target market needs, usually ranging from 300 lbs (136 kg) to 500 lbs (226 kg) for bariatric models. Check for adjustable handle heights with ergonomic grips and dual-braking systems (loop locks) to ensure user safety during both walking and resting.

As medical devices or mobility aids, walking chairs must adhere to strict regional regulations. For the US market, ensure the supplier is FDA registered and products meet ANSI/RESNA standards. For the EU market, the product must have CE marking and comply with the Medical Device Regulation (MDR 2017/745). Additionally, ISO 11199-2 is the specific international standard for rollators that dictates stability and braking requirements.

Request third-party lab test reports specifically for fatigue testing and static stability. The wheels should be made of non-marring polyurethane (PU) or PVC, with a diameter of at least 8 inches for outdoor versatility. The braking system should undergo a 10,000-cycle wear test to ensure the locking mechanism does not fail under repeated stress, providing security when the user sits.

Professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com usually offer custom color powder coating, logo silk-screening on the backrest or storage bag, and packaging customization. Advanced ODM services may include modular attachments like cane holders, oxygen tank carriers, or upgraded memory foam seating to differentiate your brand in a competitive market.

Always implement a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI). Hire a third-party agency to verify that the welding points are smooth, the folding mechanism operates without jamming, and the dimensions match the approved sample. Utilizing secured payment terms or trade assurance services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com can protect your capital until the goods pass inspection.

Focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Negotiate for a lower MOQ on trial orders (e.g., 50-100 units) to test market response, while securing a 10-15% discount for full container loads (FCL). Ask the supplier to include a 1-2% spare parts kit (extra brake cables, rubber tips, and bolts) free of charge to handle minor after-sales issues locally.

Walking chairs are 'high-volume' goods. To optimize shipping costs, ensure the product is fully assembled but 'knocked-down' (KD) in flat-pack packaging to maximize container utilization. Verify that the carton burst strength (ECT 32 or higher) is sufficient for sea freight stacking to prevent frame deformation during transit to your specific destination.

Prioritize Audited Suppliers on Made-in-China.com, as these companies have undergone on-site verification by independent bodies like SGS or Bureau Veritas. Review their Business License, Export Qualification, and Medical Device Production License to ensure they are a legitimate factory rather than a middleman with no quality control.
