Urinal sizes manufacturers

Selecting the right urinal size depends heavily on the intended user demographic and space constraints. For standard commercial restrooms, full-stall urinals (approx. 24-28 inches in height) provide maximum privacy and splash protection. For space-saving requirements, compact or 'pint' urinals (approx. 14-18 inches in height) are ideal. Always ensure the lip height aligns with local accessibility codes; for example, ADA compliance typically requires a rim height of maximum 17 inches from the finished floor.

Prioritize urinals made from Vitreous China, as this material is non-porous, highly resistant to stains, and easy to sanitize. Key technical benchmarks include the flush volume, where High-Efficiency Urinals (HEU) using 0.125 to 0.5 GPF (Gallons Per Flush) are preferred for water conservation. Ensure the product meets ASME A112.19.2/CSA B45.1 standards for ceramic plumbing fixtures to guarantee structural integrity and glaze quality.

Buyers must distinguish between wall-hung and floor-mount models. Wall-hung urinals are the industry standard for modern facilities due to easier floor cleaning and adjustable mounting heights. When sourcing, verify the rough-in dimensions, specifically the distance from the finished wall to the center of the drain and the water supply inlet location. Incompatibility in rough-in measurements is the leading cause of costly returns in cross-border plumbing procurement.

For the North American market, WaterSense certification is crucial for tax rebates and green building compliance. For European markets, look for the CE mark and EN 13407 standards. If you are sourcing for public projects, ensure the supplier provides cUPC (Uniform Plumbing Code) certification, which validates that the product meets both US and Canadian safety and functional requirements.

The biggest risk is fragility and breakage during transit. To mitigate this, insist on 5-layer corrugated export cartons with molded foam (EPS) or honeycomb paper cushioning. For bulk orders, palletization with shrink wrap and edge protectors is mandatory. Always include a breakage allowance clause in your contract, typically covering 1-3% of the shipment value.

Utilize the Secured Trading Service offered by Made-in-China.com to protect your payments. Prioritize Audited Suppliers who have undergone third-party onsite inspections by firms like SGS or Bureau Veritas. Requesting a factory video audit focusing on the kiln area and pressure testing station can further verify production capacity.

Be aware of Anti-Dumping Duties (ADD) that some countries impose on ceramic sanitary ware from specific regions. Consult with a customs broker to verify the HS Code (typically 6910.10) and associated tariffs. For shipping, FOB (Free On Board) is recommended for experienced buyers to maintain control over freight costs, while DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) is better for those wanting a hassle-free door-to-door solution.

Conduct a random inspection within 72 hours of arrival. Check for glaze pinholes, warping (using a straightedge), and flushing functionality. If defects are found, provide high-resolution photos and videos to the supplier immediately. A professional B2B strategy is to withhold a 5-10% quality retainer fee until the initial inspection is passed at the destination port or warehouse.
