Super magnetic detacher manufacturers

The most critical factor is the magnetic strength (Gauss rating). For high-security tags, a detacher with at least 12,000GS to 15,000GS is required. You should also verify the internal magnetic core material, preferably Neodymium (NdFeB), which ensures long-term magnetic stability and prevents degaussing over time. Additionally, check the housing material; aluminum alloy or reinforced ABS is preferred for durability in high-traffic retail environments.

Compatibility depends on the locking mechanism of the tags. Super Magnetic Detachers are designed for magnetic-lock EAS (Electronic Article Surveillance) tags, such as hard tags, golf tags, and mushroom tags. It is essential to confirm whether your tags use a standard, super, or hyper lock. A universal 15,000GS detacher typically covers 90% of magnetic tags, but specialized tags like Sensormatic (which use mechanical hooks) will not be compatible.

Suppliers should provide CE certification and RoHS compliance to ensure the materials are safe and the product meets international quality standards. Furthermore, because these are high-strength magnets, ensure the supplier provides magnetic shielding packaging for air transport to comply with IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (PI953), preventing interference with aircraft navigation systems.

These devices are primarily used at POS (Point of Sale) counters in clothing stores, supermarkets, and pharmacies. For security, look for models with pre-drilled mounting holes or lockable covers that allow the detacher to be bolted to the counter. This prevents unauthorized removal or theft of the detacher itself, which is a common security risk in retail operations.

Magnetic items are classified as 'Sensitive Goods' in international logistics. If the magnetic field strength exceeds 0.00525 gauss at 4.6 meters, it may be rejected by airlines. You must ensure the supplier uses specialized degaussing packaging (iron sheet lining) and provides a Magnetic Inspection Report from a recognized body like DGM to avoid customs delays or seizures.

Prioritize Audited Suppliers on Made-in-China.com who have undergone third-party verification by SGS or TÜV Rheinland. Request a video demonstration of the detacher opening your specific tag model. For bulk orders, always request a sample first to test the actual Gauss strength, as some low-end suppliers may mislabel 8,000GS units as 12,000GS.

Focus on Tiered Pricing and Warranty Terms. Since the magnetic core is the most expensive component, ask for a 2-year magnetism guarantee. For bulk purchases (e.g., >100 units), negotiate for customized branding (OEM) and a 5-10% discount on the unit price. Also, clarify the Incoterms; for magnetic goods, FOB (Free On Board) is often safer for buyers to control the specialized shipping process.

Use Secured Trading Services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure your payment is only released to the supplier after you confirm receipt of the goods. Avoid direct wire transfers to private accounts. Ensure the Proforma Invoice (PI) clearly states the magnetic strength and material specifications to serve as legal evidence in case of a quality dispute.
