Seabuckthorn 1 lit manufacturers

When sourcing Seabuckthorn, prioritize Active Ingredient Content, such as Omega-7 fatty acids, Vitamin C, and Flavonoids. For juice or puree, ensure a Brix level of at least 8-10% for natural strength. If purchasing oil, look for Cold-Pressed extraction methods to preserve bio-active compounds. Always verify the Total Plate Count (TPC) to ensure microbial safety for food-grade consumption.

Suppliers must provide HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and ISO 22000 certifications for food safety management. For entry into the US market, FDA Registration is essential, while the EU market requires compliance with EFSA regulations and potentially Novel Food authorization. If marketed as organic, valid USDA Organic or EU Organic certificates are non-negotiable.

Seabuckthorn is highly sensitive to light and oxidation. Ensure the 1-liter containers are Amber Glass bottles or UV-protected HDPE/PET plastic to prevent nutrient degradation. For bulk commercial use, Aseptic Bag-in-Box packaging is preferred to maintain a shelf life of 12-24 months without heavy preservatives.

Request a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every batch. Key parameters include pH levels (typically 2.8 - 3.5), moisture content (for powders/oils), and the absence of heavy metals (Lead, Arsenic, Mercury) and pesticide residues. Ensure the product is 100% pure without added sugars, water, or artificial colorants unless specified.

The biggest risks are Fermentation during transit and Leaking. Ensure the supplier uses temperature-controlled shipping (Reefer containers) if the product is not shelf-stable at room temperature. Always insist on Palletized packaging with shrink-wrap to prevent bottle breakage and facilitate easy customs inspection.

Look for Audited Suppliers who have undergone on-site inspections by third-party agencies like SGS or Intertek. Check their Export Experience specifically to your target country to ensure they understand local labeling laws. Request a factory video tour to inspect their extraction and bottling lines.

Negotiate based on Volume Tiers; for example, a 500-unit order should yield a 10-15% discount compared to the sample price. Discuss Lead Times clearly, as harvesting seasons (typically August-October) can affect price and availability. Ask for Free Samples (buyer pays freight) to conduct independent lab testing before committing to a full container.

Utilize Secured Payment services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released upon proof of shipment. Use Incoterms 2020 like FOB (Free on Board) or CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) to clearly define where the risk transfers from the seller to the buyer.
