Rattan chandelier manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize natural rattan (Grade A) for high-end aesthetics or PE/Synthetic rattan for outdoor durability. Ensure the internal frame is made of powder-coated iron or aluminum to prevent rust and maintain structural integrity. For safety, the rattan must be treated with fire-retardant coatings and be pest-free (fumigated) to meet international import standards.

For the electrical components (sockets, wires, and plugs), ensure they carry UL or ETL certification for the North American market, and CE, RoHS, or VDE certification for Europe. The luminaire should have an IP rating (e.g., IP44 or IP65) if intended for outdoor or bathroom use to ensure moisture resistance. Always request a Certificate of Compliance (CoC) from the supplier.

Request high-definition videos focusing on the weaving density and uniformity; gaps should be minimal unless part of the design. Check the joint connections for smooth finishing without sharp protruding fibers. Ask the supplier for a tension test report on the hanging wire to ensure it can support at least 3 times the weight of the fixture for safety.

Rattan chandeliers are currently trending in Boho-chic, Japandi, and Coastal interior designs. They are widely used in eco-resorts, boutique hotels, and outdoor restaurant patios. B2B buyers should look for modular designs that allow for easy bulb replacement and collapsible structures to reduce shipping volume and costs.

The biggest risks are moisture damage (mold) and structural deformation. Ensure the supplier uses silica gel desiccant packets in every carton and utilizes 5-layer corrugated export packaging with internal foam supports. For large orders, Fumigation Certificates are often legally required by customs to prevent the cross-border spread of wood-boring insects.

Always use the Secured Trading Service provided by Made-in-China.com to protect your payments. Negotiate a payment term of 30% deposit and 70% balance after third-party inspection but before shipment. Clearly define the Acceptable Quality Level (AQL 2.5/4.0) in the proforma invoice to set a benchmark for quality control.

Rattan chandeliers are 'light cargo,' meaning you are often charged by volumetric weight. Negotiate for knock-down (KD) packaging where the shades can be nested inside one another. For bulk orders, FOB (Free On Board) is generally more cost-effective than CIF, as it allows you to use your own freight forwarder to consolidate shipments and manage local port fees more transparently.

Check if the supplier is an Audited Supplier on Made-in-China.com, which indicates their factory has been verified by independent agencies like SGS, Bureau Veritas, or TÜV Rheinland. Review their Export License and check if their main markets align with your region, as this ensures they are familiar with your local voltage and plug requirements.
