Plush frog manufacturers

When sourcing plush frogs, prioritize super-soft crystal velvet or high-grade PV fleece for the outer shell to ensure a premium tactile experience. The filling should be 100% new non-recycled PP cotton to maintain shape and elasticity. Ensure all materials are hypoallergenic and free from lead or phthalates, especially if the target audience includes children.

Compliance is non-negotiable in the toy industry. For the US market, products must meet ASTM F963 and CPSIA standards. For the EU market, EN71 (Parts 1, 2, and 3) and the CE mark are required. Always request a Children’s Product Certificate (CPC) from the supplier to verify third-party lab testing results.

Focus on the stitching density; high-quality plush toys should have at least 8-10 stitches per inch to prevent seam bursting. For safety, 'safety eyes' must be used, which are plastic eyes secured with a back washer that can withstand a 90N pull test. Additionally, check for needle detection logs to ensure no metal fragments remain inside the toy.

Look for suppliers on Made-in-China.com that offer OEM/ODM services. Key customization features include computerized embroidery for facial expressions, sublimation printing for unique patterns, and the ability to add branded woven labels or custom hangtags. Some manufacturers also offer sound modules or weighted fillings for sensory-focused products.

Always order a pre-production sample before committing to a full run. Utilize third-party inspection services (like V-Trust or QIMA) to perform a During Production (DUPRO) or Final Random Inspection (FRI) at the factory. Ensure the contract specifies that payment is contingent upon a passing inspection report.

Plush toys are lightweight but high-volume, meaning you are often charged by volumetric weight. To reduce costs, ask the supplier to use vacuum packaging to compress the toys, which can reduce shipping volume by up to 50-70%. For large orders, Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) is significantly cheaper than air express, provided you account for the 30-45 day lead time.

Start by asking for a tiered pricing structure (e.g., 500, 1000, and 5000 units). If you are a startup, negotiate a lower MOQ for a trial order by offering to pay a slightly higher unit price, with the agreement that the difference will be credited back on your first bulk order. Always verify the supplier's Business License and Export Qualifications on Made-in-China.com to ensure you are dealing with a factory rather than a middleman.

Use Secured Trading Services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com to protect your funds. Avoid transferring large sums via unprotected methods to unknown accounts. Ensure the Proforma Invoice (PI) clearly states the incoterms (e.g., FOB, CIF), detailed product specifications, and the agreed-upon lead time to provide legal recourse in case of disputes.
