Pinking scissor manufacturers

When evaluating pinking scissors, prioritize high-carbon stainless steel or ice-tempered steel blades to ensure long-lasting sharpness and corrosion resistance. The tooth pitch and depth (typically 5mm for standard tailoring) must be uniform to prevent fabric fraying. Look for ergonomic ABS or soft-grip handles to reduce hand fatigue during prolonged use, and ensure the ball-bearing joint is adjustable for smooth tension control.

Request the supplier to provide Hardness Test Reports (HRC 54-58 is ideal). For industrial use, the scissors should be able to cut through multiple layers of heavy denim or canvas without snagging. Ask for a video demonstration showing the 'clean cut' at the very tip of the blades, as this is where low-quality scissors typically fail first. Ensure the blades have undergone precision grinding for a burr-free finish.

Ensure the product complies with REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) for handle materials, especially if selling in the EU. For the US market, verify that the packaging and product meet ASTM standards. If the scissors are intended for school or craft use, EN71 certification for physical and mechanical properties is essential to ensure safety.

Yes, most professional manufacturers on Made-in-China.com offer laser-etched logos on the blades and customized blister pack or color box packaging. You can also request specific handle colors (Pantone matching) and different blade lengths (typically 9 to 9.5 inches) to align with your brand's product line.

Implement a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) protocol. Require the supplier to perform a fabric cutting test on 5-10% of the batch. Use a Third-Party Inspection service to verify the 'bite' of the teeth and ensure there is no 'daylight' visible between the blades when closed, which indicates misalignment.

Start by requesting a tiered pricing structure (e.g., 500, 1000, and 5000 units). Many suppliers on Made-in-China.com are willing to lower the Initial MOQ if you agree to a higher unit price for the first 'trial' shipment. Always negotiate Incoterms 2020 clearly; FOB (Free On Board) is generally recommended for better control over shipping costs and logistics.

Pinking scissors are heavy and sharp; therefore, double-walled corrugated export cartons are mandatory. Ensure each pair is individually wrapped in anti-rust paper or a polybag to prevent moisture damage during sea freight. For high-value professional shears, consider silica gel desiccant packets in every master carton to maintain a dry environment.

Utilize Secured Payment services provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure your funds are only released after you confirm receipt of goods. Avoid using non-traceable payment methods. For the first transaction, a 30% deposit and 70% balance against the Bill of Lading (B/L) is a standard and safe industry practice.
