Party game manufacturers

For international trade, compliance is non-negotiable. Ensure products meet EN71 (Europe) or ASTM F963 (USA) standards for toy safety. If the game includes electronic components, CE, RoHS, or FCC certifications are required. For paper-based games, prioritize FSC-certified (Forest Stewardship Council) materials to meet sustainability demands and ensure the use of non-toxic, soy-based inks to prevent chemical hazards during use.

Request samples to inspect the GSM (grams per square meter) of cardstock; professional cards should be at least 300-350 GSM with a blue or black core to prevent transparency. For plastic components or dice, check for injection molding consistency and the absence of sharp burrs. Ensure the box has a UV coating or lamination to prevent scuffing and color fading during long-term storage and frequent handling.

Professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com typically offer surface finish options such as linen texture, matte, or glossy lamination. Discuss custom insert designs (EVA foam, plastic trays, or cardboard dividers) to ensure components stay organized. For high-end editions, inquire about foil stamping, embossing, or spot UV on the packaging to increase the product's perceived retail value.

When sourcing a new game design, ensure the supplier signs a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before sharing artwork or rulebooks. Verify if the supplier has an in-house design team that can help with layout adjustments while respecting your copyright and trademark rights. Always confirm that the supplier is not selling your proprietary designs to other buyers.

The biggest risks include Intellectual Property (IP) infringement and customs seizures due to lack of proper certification. Ensure your supplier provides a Declaration of Conformity. Additionally, shipping damage is common for paper products; insist on heavy-duty 5-layer corrugated export cartons and palletization to protect the box corners from crushing during sea freight.

Party games have high setup costs (plates and molds). A standard MOQ is usually 500–1,000 units. To lower the unit price, consider increasing the volume to 3,000+ units, which can reduce costs by 20-30%. Negotiate for staged payments (e.g., 30% deposit, 70% after passing a third-party pre-shipment inspection) to secure your capital.

Since games are relatively heavy but low-volume, Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) is the most cost-effective method. For urgent seasonal launches (like Christmas), consider Sea-Air combined transport. Always clarify the Incoterms; FOB (Free On Board) is recommended as it gives you more control over the shipping costs and the choice of freight forwarder.

Look for Audited Suppliers who have undergone on-site inspections by third-party agencies like SGS or Bureau Veritas. Check their Business Type (Manufacturer vs. Trading Company) and their export experience in your specific target market. Reviewing their transaction history and buyer feedback on the platform provides a clear indicator of their reliability and communication quality.
