Multivitamin tablet manufacturers

When sourcing multivitamin tablets, the most critical factor is GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) certification, which ensures products are consistently produced and controlled according to quality standards. Additionally, look for ISO 22000 or HACCP certifications for food safety management. For specific markets, FDA registration (USA) or EFSA compliance (Europe) is mandatory. If you are targeting niche markets, verify Halal or Kosher certifications to broaden your consumer base.

You must request a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every batch to verify that the actual nutrient content matches the label claims. Pay attention to the chemical forms of vitamins and minerals; for example, methylcobalamin is often preferred over cyanocobalamin for Vitamin B12 due to better absorption. Ensure the excipients (binders and fillers) used are food-grade and check if the supplier offers stability testing data to guarantee potency until the expiration date.

Multivitamins are sensitive to light, moisture, and oxidation. Ensure the supplier uses high-density polyethylene (HDPE) bottles or aluminum-blister packs with UV protection. The inclusion of desiccants (silica gel) is vital for moisture control. Furthermore, all packaging must feature tamper-evident seals to ensure consumer safety and maintain professional brand integrity during cross-border transit.

Most professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com offer OEM/ODM services. You can customize the dosage form (tablet, capsule, or gummy), the nutrient mix, and the flavor profile. When opting for custom formulas, ensure the supplier provides R&D support and a pilot sample for lab testing before committing to a full-scale production run to avoid formulation errors.

The biggest risk is customs seizure due to non-compliant labeling or prohibited ingredients. Each country has a specific list of allowable daily intake (ADI) levels. You must ensure your labels include accurate ingredient lists, allergen warnings, and usage instructions in the destination country's official language. Always consult a local customs broker to verify the HS Code (typically 2106.90) and associated tariffs.

To mitigate financial risk, utilize Secured Trading Services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com. Conduct a factory audit or hire a third-party inspector (like SGS or Intertek) to perform a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI). This ensures the quantity and quality match your Proforma Invoice before the final payment is released. Avoid suppliers who refuse to provide traceability documentation for their raw materials.

Multivitamins should be shipped via temperature-controlled environments if the transit route passes through extreme heat zones, as high temperatures can degrade vitamin potency (especially Vitamin C and B-complex). For bulk orders, Sea Freight with humidity control is cost-effective, but for high-value or urgent stock, Air Freight is preferred to minimize the time the product spends in uncontrolled warehouse conditions.

Focus your negotiation on Tiered Pricing based on volume and Long-term Partnership Discounts. Instead of just pushing for the lowest price, negotiate for better raw material grades or shorter lead times. Request that the supplier includes extra labels or marketing collateral in the shipment. Clearly define the Defective Goods Allowance in your contract, specifying how replacements or refunds will be handled for damaged seals or discolored tablets.
