Metal detecting machine manufacturers

When sourcing for industrial or security applications, prioritize Detection Sensitivity (measured in mm for ferrous, non-ferrous, and stainless steel). For food processing, ensure the machine features Phase Tracking Technology to compensate for 'product effect' caused by moisture or salt. Look for an IP66 or IP69K rating if the machine requires high-pressure washdowns, and verify that the Conveyor Speed is adjustable to match your existing production line throughput.

For the US market, machines must often meet FDA 21 CFR standards if used in food/pharma, and FCC certification for electromagnetic interference. For the EU, CE Marking and compliance with the Low Voltage Directive (LVD) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Directive are essential. If used in the food industry, ensure the belt materials are Food Grade (FDA/EC approved) and the system supports HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) requirements.

Multi-frequency technology is superior for diverse product lines. High frequencies are generally better for detecting stainless steel and small non-ferrous particles but are more susceptible to interference from wet products. Low frequencies are more stable for large products or those with high conductivity. Choosing a machine with Auto-Learn capabilities allows the software to automatically select the optimal frequency for your specific product.

Regular Calibration using certified Test Pieces (spheres encased in plastic) is mandatory, typically performed at the start of every shift. Ensure the supplier provides Automatic Reject Mechanisms (air blast, pusher, or flap) that are tested weekly. The belt tension and tracking should be inspected monthly to prevent false triggers caused by vibration or friction.

Always request a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) video using your specific product samples before final payment. You should also stipulate a Performance Guarantee clause in the contract, stating that the machine must detect specific sizes (e.g., 1.2mm Fe) under operational conditions. Sourcing through reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com allows you to utilize Secured Trading services to protect your funds until the goods are verified.

Metal detectors contain sensitive coils and electronics; therefore, Vacuum Packaging and Seaworthy Wooden Crating (ISPM 15 compliant) are non-negotiable to prevent corrosion and mechanical shock. Ensure the bill of lading specifies 'Fragile' and 'Keep Dry'. For high-value units, consider CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) terms to ensure the cargo is insured against damage during transit.

Since physical technician visits are costly, negotiate for Remote Technical Support via AR or Video Call and ensure the supplier provides a comprehensive spare parts kit (including sensors, belts, and fuses) with the initial order. Confirm that the Software Interface is available in your local language and that Circuit Diagrams are provided in English for local electrical maintenance.

Verify the supplier's Business License and Export Qualifications on Made-in-China.com. Use Escrow-based payment methods where possible. Avoid transferring large sums to private bank accounts; always use the Company's Official Corporate Account as listed on their verified profile to ensure traceability and legal recourse in case of disputes.
