Lamp holder factory manufacturers

Buyers must prioritize materials based on heat resistance and electrical insulation. Ceramic (Porcelain) is ideal for high-temperature HID or halogen lamps, while PBT or Bakelite is suitable for standard LED and CFL applications. Ensure the metal contacts are made of phosphor bronze or high-quality brass to prevent oxidation and ensure stable electrical conductivity over time.

Compliance is non-negotiable for safety. For the North American market, look for UL 496 certification. For Europe, EN 60238 (Edison thread) or EN 61184 (Bayonet type) is required, alongside CE and RoHS marks. If you are sourcing for global distribution, ensure the factory holds ISO 9001:2015 to guarantee consistent manufacturing processes.

Verify the base type (e.g., E26, E27, GU10, G9) and the rated voltage/current (e.g., 250V/4A). For outdoor or industrial use, check the IP Rating (e.g., IP44 or IP65) for moisture resistance. Additionally, confirm the terminal type (screw terminals vs. push-in wire connectors) to ensure they align with your assembly line's efficiency requirements.

A top-tier factory should offer in-house injection molding and metal stamping to control quality at the source. Look for suppliers that provide OEM/ODM customization, including custom lead wire lengths, integrated switches, or specialized mounting brackets. Request a Quality Control (QC) report that includes torque tests for screw shells and pull-out force tests for wires.

Always request a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) by a third-party agency like SGS or Intertek. Specifically, instruct them to perform a Hi-Pot (High Potential) test and a flame retardancy test (UL94 V-0). Using secure payment methods and sourcing through reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com can provide additional layers of trade assurance.

Focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Negotiate based on volume tiers; for example, increasing an order from 5,000 to 20,000 units can often reduce costs by 10-15%. Clearly define Incoterms (e.g., FOB Shenzhen or Ningbo) in the contract to avoid hidden logistics fees and clarify the point of risk transfer.

Lamp holders, especially ceramic ones, are fragile and heavy. Ensure the factory uses double-corrugated export cartons and palletization with plastic wrap to prevent moisture ingress during sea freight. For high-value or urgent custom samples, air freight is recommended, but for bulk production, sea freight (LCL or FCL) remains the most economically feasible method.

Conduct a factory audit or request a video tour of the production floor. Verify the supplier's Business License and check their export history. It is highly recommended to use Trade Assurance services provided by professional B2B platforms to ensure that your payment is protected until the goods are verified against the agreed-upon specifications.
