Juice paper packaging manufacturers

When sourcing juice paper packaging, prioritize multi-layer aseptic structures. A typical high-quality composition includes 75% paperboard for strength, 20% polyethylene (PE) for moisture resistance, and 5% aluminum foil to provide an oxygen and light barrier. Ensure the paperboard is FSC-certified (Forest Stewardship Council) to guarantee sustainable sourcing and verify that the internal PE layer is BPA-free and food-grade.

For global trade, the packaging must comply with FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) or EU Regulation No 10/2011 regarding plastic materials intended to come into contact with food. If you are targeting eco-conscious markets, look for EN 13432 certification for compostability or ISO 14001 for environmental management systems. Always request a Declaration of Compliance (DoC) from the supplier.

For B2B buyers, Flexographic printing is the industry standard for large volumes due to its cost-efficiency, while Digital printing is better for small batches or seasonal promotions. Ensure the supplier uses low-migration, water-based, or UV-cured inks that are non-toxic and do not penetrate the paper layers, preventing contamination of the juice.

Check for hermetic sealing capabilities and the integrity of the induction seal or screw cap fitment. The packaging should support UHT (Ultra-High Temperature) processing if you require long-term shelf stability without refrigeration. Additionally, evaluate the burst strength and stacking crush resistance to ensure the cartons do not leak during maritime transit or high-pressure warehouse stacking.

Always conduct a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) through third-party agencies like SGS or Intertek. Request a production sample before the mass run and a shipping sample from the actual batch. On Made-in-China.com, prioritize Audited Suppliers who have undergone comprehensive on-site verification of their manufacturing facilities and quality control processes.

Packaging is a volume-driven industry; increasing your order from 10,000 to 50,000 units can often reduce the unit price by 20-35%. Negotiate for tiered pricing and ask if the supplier can provide free plate-making for long-term contracts. If you are a startup, look for suppliers offering low MOQ (e.g., 500-1,000 units) for digital print runs to test the market.

Paper packaging is sensitive to humidity and temperature fluctuations. Ensure the contract specifies the use of desiccants (silica gel) and heavy-duty corrugated outer cartons with palletization. Use FOB (Free On Board) terms to maintain control over the freight forwarder and ensure the containers are inspected for holes or leaks before loading to prevent water damage during sea freight.

Utilize Secured Payment services provided by professional platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released after you confirm receipt of goods. Avoid direct wire transfers to private accounts. For large orders, consider a Letter of Credit (L/C) or a 30/70 payment structure (30% deposit, 70% balance after passing inspection but before shipment).
