Jewellery boxes set manufacturers

When sourcing jewellery boxes, the internal lining is critical; ensure the use of anti-tarnish velvet or microfiber to prevent oxidation of metal components. For the exterior, MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard) provides better structural stability than solid wood in varying climates, while PU leather should be tested for peel strength and colorfastness. High-end sets often require zinc alloy hardware with electroplated finishes to ensure rust resistance and a premium tactile feel.

A professional jewellery box set must pass a drop test (ISTA 1A or 2A standards) to ensure the internal hinges and mirrors do not shatter during transit. You should request compression strength data for the outer gift boxes. Furthermore, verify that the slots and cushions are designed with high-resilience foam to securely hold rings, necklaces, and watches without movement that could cause scratches.

For the US and EU markets, ensure the adhesives and dyes used are REACH or RoHS compliant, specifically checking for lead, cadmium, and formaldehyde levels. If the boxes use real wood, a FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certification is highly recommended to prove sustainable sourcing. For sets including mirrors, ensure they meet shatter-proof regulations for consumer safety.

Suppliers on Made-in-China.com typically offer OEM/ODM services including debossing, silk-screen printing, and hot stamping for logos. Advanced customization includes modular inserts that allow end-users to rearrange compartments. Always confirm if the supplier can provide Pantone color matching for the exterior material to maintain brand consistency across different production batches.

Jewellery boxes are prone to moisture damage and mold. Insist that the supplier includes silica gel desiccant packets in every individual box and uses moisture-proof inner bags. For bulk shipments, ensure the master cartons are double-walled corrugated cardboard and palletized with shrink wrap to prevent crushing and humidity penetration.

Start by requesting a tiered pricing structure (e.g., 500, 1000, and 5000 units). Many suppliers on Made-in-China.com are willing to lower the MOQ for trial orders if you agree to use standardized internal molds while customizing only the exterior color and logo. Negotiate for a 30% deposit and 70% balance payment after a successful third-party pre-shipment inspection (PSI).

Always utilize the Secured Trading Service provided by Made-in-China.com to protect your payment until delivery is confirmed. Before transferring large sums, verify the supplier's Audit Reports and check their Business License validity. Requesting a factory video audit or a live walkthrough of the production line can significantly reduce the risk of dealing with a middleman rather than a direct manufacturer.

Pay close attention to the alignment of the hinges and the smoothness of the closing mechanism (magnetic or lock-and-key). Check for glue residue at the seams, which is a common quality issue in mass production. Perform a smell test; a strong chemical odor indicates the use of low-quality adhesives that could damage the jewellery stored inside.
