Inox table manufacturers

The choice of stainless steel grade is critical for durability. For standard commercial kitchens or indoor use, Grade 304 is the industry standard due to its excellent corrosion resistance and value. For highly corrosive environments like coastal areas or chemical laboratories, Grade 316 is required as it contains molybdenum for superior pitting resistance. Grade 201 is a more economical alternative for dry, indoor settings but is prone to rusting if exposed to moisture or harsh cleaning agents.

Buyers should verify the gauge thickness of the tabletop; a 14 to 16-gauge (1.5mm to 2.0mm) thickness is recommended for heavy-duty industrial use, while 18-gauge suffices for light prep work. Ensure the table features hat channel reinforcements underneath the top to prevent bowing and noise. Additionally, check if the legs are made of stainless steel or galvanized steel—stainless steel legs offer better long-term rust prevention.

For food service applications, the most important certification is NSF (National Sanitation Foundation), which ensures the design is easy to clean and free of bacteria-trapping crevices. In the European market, compliance with EC 1935/2004 for food contact materials is essential. Furthermore, ensure the manufacturer follows ISO 9001 quality management systems to guarantee consistent welding and finishing quality.

The surface finish affects both aesthetics and hygiene. A #4 Brushed Finish is the most common for commercial tables as it hides scratches and fingerprints well. For cleanroom or laboratory settings, a Electropolished or Mirror Finish may be required to minimize surface roughness. Ensure there are no burrs or sharp edges at the joints, and that all welding points are polished and passivated to prevent oxidation.

Always request a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) through a third-party agency. The inspector should perform a salt spray test or use a portable XRF analyzer to verify the actual chemical composition of the steel (e.g., checking Nickel and Chromium content). To prevent physical damage during transit, mandate reinforced packaging such as wooden crates or heavy-duty honeycomb cartons, especially for Knock-Down (KD) designs.

Focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Negotiate based on volume tiers; for example, increasing an order from 50 to 100 units can often trigger a 10-15% discount. Ask for customization flexibility regarding undershelves or backsplash heights at no extra cost for bulk orders. For long-term partnerships, request favorable payment terms like 30% deposit and 70% against the Bill of Lading (B/L).

Since Inox tables are heavy and take up significant volume, Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) is the only economically viable option for bulk orders. To maximize container utilization and reduce shipping costs, choose Knock-Down (KD) structures over fully welded ones, as they significantly reduce the shipping volume. Ensure the supplier provides clear assembly instructions and all necessary hardware to avoid local labor delays.
