Glass fridge magnet manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize high-transparency K9 crystal glass or tempered glass to ensure clarity and scratch resistance. The backing should utilize strong anisotropic magnets (like Neodymium or high-quality Ferrite) to ensure the magnet can hold at least 3-5 sheets of A4 paper without sliding. For the printed layer, high-definition UV printing or PET film inserts are preferred to prevent color fading over time.

For the US market, products must comply with CPSIA (Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act), specifically regarding lead content and small parts warnings if marketed as toys. For the EU, REACH certification is essential to ensure the adhesives and magnets do not contain harmful substances. Additionally, ensure the product meets EN71 standards if there is any likelihood of child interaction, focusing on magnetic flux density limits to prevent ingestion hazards.

Request the supplier to perform a tension test and a drop test (usually from 1.2 meters). The adhesive used should be a non-toxic, industrial-grade epoxy or 3M specialized glue that maintains integrity under temperature fluctuations (from -10°C to 50°C). Ensure there are no sharp edges on the glass perimeter; a CNC polished round edge is the industry standard for premium safety.

Most professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com offer OEM/ODM services, including custom 3D laser engraving inside the glass, fluorescent/glow-in-the-dark backings, and bespoke packaging (like blister packs or tin boxes). For promotional items, ensure the supplier can provide Pantone color matching to maintain brand consistency.

Glass magnets are fragile and heavy. Insist on 5-layer corrugated export cartons and ensure each magnet is protected by an individual polybag or bubble wrap. Request palletized shipping for large volumes to minimize manual handling. It is highly recommended to use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading Service to ensure the goods are inspected before final payment.

Standard MOQs usually range from 500 to 1,000 pieces. To get the best price, offer a staggered order projection (e.g., 10,000 units annually) to negotiate a lower unit cost even if the first batch is small. Always ask for unit price breakdown including mold fees (if custom shaped) and packaging costs to identify where savings can be made.

Check if the supplier is an Audited Supplier on Made-in-China.com, which indicates their factory has been verified by third-party agencies like SGS or Bureau Veritas. Review their Business License to ensure their scope includes 'Glass Products' or 'Crafts & Gifts' manufacturing rather than just trading.

Due to the high weight-to-volume ratio of magnets, Sea Freight (LCL) is the most economical for orders over 200kg. However, be aware that magnets are classified as 'Sensitive Goods' in air transport; if shipping by air, you must provide a Magnetic Inspection Report to prove the magnetic field is shielded, or use specialized magnetic shielding packaging.
