Electric golf scooter manufacturers

When sourcing electric golf scooters, focus on battery capacity and motor power. Look for lithium-ion batteries (60V 20Ah or higher) to ensure a range of at least 36 holes per charge. The motor should be a brushless DC motor with at least 1000W-2000W output to handle steep fairway inclines. Additionally, prioritize wide, turf-friendly tires (10-inch or larger) to minimize ground pressure and prevent damage to the golf course greens.

For the US market, ensure the scooter and its charger are UL certified to prevent fire hazards. For the EU, CE marking and RoHS compliance are mandatory. Since these products contain large lithium batteries, they must have UN38.3 certification and an MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) for legal and safe international shipping. Always verify if the supplier has ISO 9001 certification to ensure consistent manufacturing quality.

Commercial-grade scooters require a high-strength aluminum alloy or reinforced steel frame with a weight capacity of at least 150kg (330 lbs). Check for an IP65 or higher waterproof rating to protect electronic components from rain and course sprinklers. Request details on the braking system, favoring hydraulic disc brakes over mechanical ones for superior stopping power and lower maintenance frequency.

To cater to golfers, the scooter must include a heavy-duty golf bag holder, a scorecard holder, and a USB charging port for mobile devices or GPS units. Advanced suppliers may offer custom branding/logo printing on the fenders and adjustable speed limiters (e.g., 15km/h for course safety vs. 45km/h for off-road use) to comply with specific club regulations.

The main risk is shipping rejection or hazardous material surcharges. Electric scooters are classified as Class 9 Dangerous Goods. You must work with freight forwarders experienced in DG (Dangerous Goods) handling. Ensure the supplier provides proper sea-worthy packaging with shock absorption to prevent thermal runaway during transit. On Made-in-China.com, you can filter for 'Audited Suppliers' who have verified experience in handling such sensitive logistics.

Don't just negotiate on the unit price; negotiate on the warranty terms for core components (battery, motor, and controller). Aim for a minimum 12-24 month warranty. Request a spare parts kit (5-10% of order value) including extra tires, brake pads, and fuses to be included in the initial bulk shipment to reduce future downtime and shipping costs for small parts.

Use secure payment methods and consider third-party inspections before the final balance is paid. For large orders, a 30% deposit and 70% balance against the Bill of Lading (B/L) is standard. Utilize the secured trading services provided by Made-in-China.com to protect your funds until the goods are verified and shipped.

Be aware of Anti-Dumping Duties (ADD) or specific Section 301 tariffs (for US buyers) that may apply to electric vehicles from certain regions. Always check the HS Code (typically 8711.60) with your local customs broker to calculate the Total Landed Cost, which includes duties, taxes, and port handling fees, before finalizing the purchase.
