Electric arc lighter manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize battery capacity (measured in mAh), typically ranging from 220mAh to 280mAh, which should provide approximately 50 to 100 ignitions per charge. Ensure the product uses a high-quality lithium-polymer battery with an IC protection board to prevent overcharging and overheating. The arc intensity and windproof capabilities are also critical; look for double-arc models for faster ignition compared to single-arc versions.

Since these are electronic devices with lithium batteries, they must carry CE, RoHS, and FCC certifications for European and American markets. For safety, ensure the device includes a 7-second auto-off feature and a safety lock switch to prevent accidental activation. If the product is intended for the US market, compliance with UL 62368-1 for audio/video and ICT equipment safety is highly recommended.

Request information on the housing material, which should ideally be zinc alloy or high-grade ABS with a PVD plating finish for scratch resistance. The flexible neck (if applicable) should be tested for 360-degree rotation durability. Ask for salt spray test reports to ensure the metal components won't corrode during maritime shipping or in humid environments.

Most professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com offer laser-engraved logos, customized color coatings, and bespoke retail packaging. For larger orders (typically MOQ 1,000+ units), you can request custom handle shapes or LED battery indicator configurations. Always request a pre-production sample to verify the logo placement and color accuracy.

Electric arc lighters are classified as UN3481 (Lithium ion batteries contained in equipment). You must ensure the supplier provides a valid UN38.3 test report and a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS). For air freight, the battery must be charged to no more than 30% of its rated capacity, and the outer packaging must bear the Class 9 lithium battery hazard label.

Utilize the Secured Trading Service on Made-in-China.com to ensure payment is only released after you confirm receipt of goods. Conduct a factory audit or hire a third-party inspection agency (like SGS or Intertek) to perform a During Production Check (DUPRO) and a Final Random Inspection (FRI) to verify that the technical specs match your requirements.

Avoid focusing solely on the lowest unit price. A very low price often indicates the use of recycled lithium batteries or inferior ceramic electrodes, which pose fire hazards. Negotiate based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), including defective rate guarantees (aim for <1%) and the inclusion of USB-C charging cables and gift boxes in the quoted price.

Check the HS Code (typically 961380) for your specific country to determine import duties and VAT. Be aware of anti-dumping duties that may apply to lighters in certain regions. Ensure your supplier provides a Certificate of Origin to potentially benefit from Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) which can significantly reduce your tax burden.
