Dried cabbage powder manufacturers

When sourcing, prioritize color, particle size, and moisture content. High-quality powder should retain a natural light green to yellowish-green hue, indicating low-temperature processing. The standard particle size for food integration is typically 80-120 mesh. Ensure the moisture content is below 7% to prevent microbial growth and clumping during storage.

Look for suppliers utilizing AD (Air Dried) or FD (Freeze Dried) technologies. FD technology is superior for preserving heat-sensitive vitamins (like Vitamin C and U) and the original flavor profile, though it carries a higher price point. AD technology is more cost-effective for bulk industrial use in soups or seasonings but may result in a darker color.

For food-grade exports, the supplier must provide HACCP and ISO 22000 certifications. If exporting to the US, FDA registration is essential. For European markets, ensure compliance with REACH and pesticide residue limits (MRLs). Additionally, Phytosanitary Certificates issued by the exporting country's customs are required to clear biological safety inspections.

Request a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every batch. Specifically check for heavy metal limits (Lead, Arsenic, Mercury) and microbiological counts (E. coli, Salmonella). Ensure the ingredient list confirms 100% pure cabbage without added maltodextrin, artificial colors, or anti-caking agents unless specifically requested for flowability.

Always request a pre-shipment sample (PSS) from the actual production lot. For large-scale orders, hire a third-party inspection agency (like SGS or Intertek) to perform on-site sampling and testing before the balance payment is made. This prevents the 'sample vs. bulk' quality gap common in agricultural products.

Focus on Tiered Pricing and Long-term Contracts. Instead of haggling on a single order, propose a yearly volume forecast to secure a lower unit price. Use the 'Audit Reports' available on Made-in-China.com to verify the supplier's factory scale and export experience before starting negotiations.

Dried cabbage powder is highly hygroscopic (absorbs moisture). Ensure the inner packaging uses double-layer PE bags or aluminum foil bags, and the outer packaging consists of sturdy fiber drums or 5-layer corrugated cartons. For sea freight, specify the use of desiccants inside the container to prevent 'container rain' during transit through different climate zones.
