Double sided sofa manufacturers

A double sided sofa requires a reinforced central frame to support back-to-back seating. You should prioritize kiln-dried hardwood or heavy-duty steel frames to prevent sagging. Ensure the foam density is at least 35kg/m³ (high-resilience foam) to maintain shape under constant use from both sides, and verify that internal springs or webbing are independently tensioned for each seating area.

These sofas are primarily used in open-plan offices, hotel lobbies, and airport lounges to maximize space utility. For high-traffic commercial areas, you must select commercial-grade upholstery with a Martindale rub count of 30,000+. If intended for island placement, ensure the aesthetic finish is 360-degree seamless, meaning no visible staples or unfinished backing on any side.

For international trade, compliance is non-negotiable. Ensure the product meets fire retardancy standards such as CAL 117 (USA) or BS 5852 (UK). Additionally, check for formaldehyde emission levels (E1 or E0 grade) for wood components and REACH or OEKO-TEX certification for fabrics to ensure chemical safety for end-users.

If the sofa is modular, request technical CAD drawings to verify the locking mechanism (e.g., alligator clips or U-brackets). Confirm if the design allows for integrated power outlets or USB charging ports, which are essential for modern workspaces. Ensure the voltage and plug types are customized to the destination country's electrical standards.

Double sided sofas are bulky, leading to high CBM (Cubic Meter) costs. To optimize, request Knock-Down (KD) packaging instead of fully assembled shipping. Ensure the supplier uses 5-layer corrugated export cartons with honeycomb board edge protectors and vacuum-sealed plastic wrapping to prevent moisture damage and mold during sea transit.

Focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Negotiate for spare parts (extra feet, buttons, or fabric swatches) to be included at no cost. For large orders, request a staged payment plan (e.g., 30% deposit, 70% after third-party inspection but before shipment) to maintain leverage over quality control.

Never skip a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI). Hire a third-party agency to perform a drop test for packaging and a loading supervision to ensure the correct quantity and models are loaded. Use Secure Payment services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com to protect your funds until the bill of lading is issued.

Check for anti-dumping duties on wooden furniture or upholstered seating in your specific country (e.g., specific tariffs on Chinese furniture in the US or EU). Request the supplier to provide a Certificate of Origin (CO) or Form E/Form F to benefit from Free Trade Agreements (FTA) and reduce import duties.
