Cinnamon oil manufacturers

Buyers must distinguish between Cinnamon Bark Oil and Cinnamon Leaf Oil, as they have different chemical profiles and price points. The most critical indicator of quality is the Cinnamaldehyde content, which should typically range between 60% to 80% for bark oil. Ensure the product is 100% pure and natural, free from synthetic diluents like cinnamaldehyde isolates or heavy metals. Request a Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) report to verify the chemical constituents and purity levels.

For food-grade applications, ensure the supplier holds ISO 22000 or HACCP certifications. If the oil is intended for the US market, FDA registration and compliance with FEMA (Flavor and Extract Manufacturers Association) numbers are essential. For cosmetic use, check for IFRA (International Fragrance Association) compliance. Additionally, MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) and COA (Certificate of Analysis) are non-negotiable documents for every batch to ensure safety and regulatory alignment.

Cinnamon oil is highly sensitive to light and oxidation. It must be stored in amber glass bottles or fluorinated HDPE containers for bulk shipments to prevent degradation. The packaging should be hermetically sealed to avoid leakage and aroma loss. During shipping, it is vital to maintain a cool, dark environment, as high temperatures can alter the oil's chemical composition and reduce its therapeutic or flavoring efficacy.

Cinnamon Bark Oil is highly prized in the food and beverage industry for its intense flavor and in aromatherapy for its warming properties. Cinnamon Leaf Oil, which has a higher Eugenol content, is more commonly used in soaps, insecticides, and dental preparations. Understanding this distinction is crucial for economic feasibility, as leaf oil is significantly cheaper than bark oil.

Cinnamon oil is classified as a Class 3 Flammable Liquid or a Class 9 Miscellaneous Dangerous Good depending on its flashpoint. You must ensure the supplier provides a Dangerous Goods (DG) Declaration. Failure to declare this correctly can lead to customs seizures, heavy fines, or rejection by airlines and shipping lines. Always verify the UN Number and ensure the packaging meets UN-certified standards for hazardous materials.

Focus on volume-based pricing tiers; for essential oils, moving from 25kg drums to 180kg drums can often reduce the unit price by 15-20%. Request a pre-shipment sample from the same batch that will be delivered. Use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading Service to ensure that payment is only released after the third-party inspection (such as SGS or Intertek) confirms the purity and volume match the contract.

Avoid paying via unsecured methods. Always conduct transactions through audited suppliers on Made-in-China.com who have a verified gold status. Clearly define the Incoterms (e.g., CIF or DAP) in the contract to establish who bears the risk during transit. Ensure the contract includes a dispute resolution clause and specific quality benchmarks that must be met for the goods to be accepted.

Be aware of import duties and VAT specific to your country; for example, some regions impose higher tariffs on 'Essential Oils' versus 'Food Flavorings.' Check if your country has a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the supplier's country to utilize Form E or Form F certificates, which can significantly reduce or eliminate import taxes.
