Chery parts manufacturers

When sourcing Chery parts, it is critical to distinguish between Genuine (OEM), Aftermarket, and Refurbished components. Always request the OEM Part Number and cross-reference it with the specific vehicle model and production year. For critical engine or transmission components, ensure the supplier provides traceability codes or holographic security labels that match Chery's official packaging standards to avoid compatibility issues during installation.

Suppliers should ideally hold IATF 16949 certification, which is the international standard for automotive quality management systems. For specific markets, ensure compliance with regional safety standards such as E-Mark (Europe), DOT (USA), or GCC (Middle East). Requesting Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for chemical-based parts like lubricants or coolants is also a professional requirement for cross-border compliance.

For Chery's electric and hybrid lines (like the EQ series), focus on Battery Management System (BMS) components, high-voltage connectors, and thermal management sensors. Ensure these parts utilize high-grade flame-retardant materials and have undergone IP67 or IP68 waterproof testing to maintain the vehicle's safety integrity and electronic performance.

Request third-party lab test reports focusing on tensile strength, heat resistance, and salt spray corrosion testing (especially for chassis and suspension parts). For rubber components like belts and hoses, verify the aging resistance parameters to ensure they can withstand extreme temperature fluctuations without cracking or losing elasticity.

The primary risks include shipping damage to fragile components (like windshields or headlights) and incorrect part matching. To mitigate these, insist on reinforced pallet packaging and provide the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the supplier for double-verification before the order is finalized. Additionally, be wary of 'too-good-to-be-true' prices which often indicate counterfeit goods that could lead to legal liabilities.

Focus on Tiered Pricing based on volume and negotiate for favorable payment terms such as a 30% deposit and 70% balance against the Bill of Lading (B/L). Ask for consolidated shipping services if you are purchasing various small SKUs. Professional buyers often negotiate for a 1-2% defect allowance or spare parts credit to cover potential minor shipping damages.

Always utilize Secured Trading Services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure your payment is held in escrow until shipping is confirmed. Conduct a factory audit or hire a third-party inspector to perform a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) to verify that the quantity and quality of the parts match the Proforma Invoice.

For heavy items like engine blocks or gearboxes, Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) is the most economical choice. Ensure the supplier uses fumigated wooden crates to comply with international ISPM 15 standards. For urgent 'Car Off Road' (VOR) situations, negotiate Air Freight rates in advance, but be mindful of hazardous goods classifications for items like airbags or shock absorbers containing pressurized gas.
