Boy shirt manufacturers

Prioritize 100% combed cotton or organic cotton for breathability and skin sensitivity. For school uniforms or formal shirts, a CVC (Chief Value Cotton) blend (e.g., 60% cotton, 40% polyester) is recommended to ensure wrinkle resistance and durability. Ensure the fabric weight is appropriate for the season, typically 120-160 GSM for summer shirts and 180+ GSM for flannel or winter styles.

Products must strictly adhere to regional safety regulations. For the U.S. market, compliance with CPSIA (Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act) is mandatory, focusing on lead content and phthalates. For the EU, ensure products meet EN 14682 standards regarding cords and drawstrings to prevent strangulation hazards. Always verify OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification to guarantee the absence of harmful substances.

Request samples to inspect the stitch density, which should be at least 10-12 stitches per inch for durability. Check for flat-felled seams or overlock stitching to prevent fraying. For button-down shirts, ensure buttons are cross-stitched and reinforced to prevent choking hazards, and verify that interlining in collars and cuffs maintains shape after multiple washes.

Look for suppliers offering digital sublimation printing or high-density embroidery for logos. Inquire about private labeling (woven neck labels and heat-transfer care labels) and custom packaging. Advanced suppliers on Made-in-China.com can also provide anti-bacterial or UV-protection finishes for functional outdoor boy shirts.

Utilize Secured Trading Services provided by Made-in-China.com to ensure payment safety. Always conduct a factory audit or hire a third-party inspection agency (like SGS or Intertek) to perform a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI). This ensures the goods match the approved sample before the final balance is paid.

Start by asking for a tiered pricing structure (e.g., 500, 1000, and 5000 units). If you are a startup, negotiate a lower MOQ for trial orders by using the supplier's in-stock fabric colors. Consolidating multiple designs into the same fabric type can also help you reach the supplier's dyeing minimums while maintaining variety.

For large volumes, Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) is the most economical, though it requires a 30-45 day lead time. For urgent seasonal launches, Air Freight is faster but significantly more expensive. Ensure your supplier provides a detailed Packing List and Commercial Invoice with the correct HS Code (typically Chapter 62 for woven shirts) to avoid customs delays and ensure accurate duty calculation.

Before sharing tech packs or custom designs, sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). Ensure your supplier is a reputable manufacturer with a history of exporting to regulated markets. Verify that any licensed characters or patterns used on the shirts have the proper authorization letters to prevent seizure by customs.
