Aluminium phosphide manufacturers

Aluminium Phosphide is primarily used as a fumigant and rodenticide. For effective pest control, the active ingredient content should typically be ≥56%. It is commonly supplied in tablet, pellet, or bag (sachet) forms. Buyers must verify the decomposition rate, as the product must release phosphine gas (PH3) upon contact with atmospheric moisture. Ensure the product includes ammonium carbamate as a stabilizing agent to prevent spontaneous combustion of the phosphine gas.

Due to its high toxicity, Aluminium Phosphide is classified under UN Number 1397 (Class 4.3: Substances which, in contact with water, emit flammable gases). It must comply with FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization) specifications for pesticides. Suppliers should provide a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and a Certificate of Analysis (COA). For entry into specific markets, ensure compliance with EPA (USA), REACH (EU), or local Ministry of Agriculture registrations.

The product must be stored in cool, dry, and well-ventilated areas, strictly away from water, moisture, and acids. Packaging must be hermetically sealed (usually in seamless aluminum flasks or tin cans). In terms of usage, it is vital for buyers to ensure that the end-users are certified professionals, as improper application can lead to fatal inhalation toxicity. Gas detection equipment should always be used post-fumigation to ensure levels are below 0.3 ppm before re-entry.

As a Class 4.3 Dangerous Good, Aluminium Phosphide requires specialized DG (Dangerous Goods) packaging and labeling. It cannot be shipped via standard air freight and must be transported by sea in specialized DG containers. Buyers should use freight forwarders experienced in handling hazardous chemicals and ensure the vessel allows for the transport of water-reactive substances. Always confirm the IMDG (International Maritime Dangerous Goods) Code compliance.

To ensure transaction security, buyers should prioritize suppliers on Made-in-China.com who have undergone Audited Supplier verification. Use secured payment terms such as L/C (Letter of Credit) or escrow-based services. It is highly recommended to appoint a third-party inspection agency (like SGS or Intertek) to verify the chemical composition and packaging integrity at the loading port before final payment is released.

When negotiating, focus on long-term contract pricing rather than spot prices, as chemical markets can be volatile. Discuss MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) flexibility; while standard MOQs are often 1-5 tons, trial orders may be possible. Request customized labeling that meets your local language and regulatory requirements (GHS labeling) to avoid customs clearance delays in the destination country.
