Wholesale electric lighter manufacturers

When evaluating electric lighters (plasma or arc lighters), focus on battery capacity (mAh), which typically ranges from 200mAh to 300mAh, providing roughly 50-100 ignitions per charge. Ensure the product uses a lithium-polymer battery with overcharge and short-circuit protection. For outdoor models, verify the IP67 waterproof rating and the durability of the zinc alloy or ABS casing.

As these are electronic devices with batteries, they must meet CE, RoHS, and FCC certifications for European and American markets. Specifically, the battery cells should have UN38.3 and MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) reports to ensure safety during transport. For the US market, compliance with CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) standards for child-resistance is highly recommended.

The quality of the ceramic electrode is critical; it must be heat-resistant to prevent cracking. Request the supplier to provide aging test reports showing the device can handle at least 300-500 recharge cycles without significant battery degradation. The ignition pulse frequency should be stable to ensure windproof performance in various environments.

Most professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com offer laser engraving for logos, custom CMYK color printing, and bespoke gift box packaging. For high-volume orders, you can request custom PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) designs to include features like LED battery indicators or safety power-off switches.

Electric lighters are classified as Dangerous Goods (Class 9) due to their lithium batteries. You must ensure the supplier provides a Certificate for Safe Transport of Chemical Goods. It is safer to use specialized battery shipping lines or sea freight with proper DG (Dangerous Goods) declarations to avoid customs seizures or airline rejections.

Standard MOQs usually start at 100-500 units. To get the best price, aim for 1,000+ units where you can typically negotiate a 15-20% discount. Always request a pre-production sample before paying the 30% deposit. Use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading Service to protect your payment until the goods pass inspection.

The most common issues are faulty charging ports (Micro-USB vs. USB-C) and weak battery retention. Conduct a Third-Party Inspection (TPI) before shipment to check the charging current stability and perform a drop test to ensure the internal wiring remains intact after impact.

Verify the HS Code (typically 961380) with your local customs broker to determine the exact tariff rate. Be aware that some regions have strict anti-dumping duties or specific labeling requirements (e.g., Country of Origin markings) that must be printed on the individual product packaging to pass customs smoothly.
