Used shoes korea manufacturers

In the used shoe industry, products are typically categorized into Grade A (Cream/Premium), Grade B, and Grade C. Grade A shoes should show minimal signs of wear, with intact outsoles, no significant heel drag, and original insoles. When sourcing from Korea, ensure the supplier performs manual sorting to exclude shoes with holes, heavy stains, or peeling leather. You should request a sorting video or a live inspection to verify that the 'Grade A' mix actually meets your market's retail standards.

Korean used shoes are highly sought after due to the high fashion consciousness of the local population, leading to a higher frequency of replacement and better maintenance. The mix often includes popular international brands (Nike, Adidas, New Balance) and high-quality local brands. Furthermore, Korean sizing is generally consistent with Asian and international standards, making them highly liquid assets in Southeast Asian and African markets.

Health and safety are paramount. Suppliers must provide a Fumigation Certificate to ensure the cargo is free from pests and pathogens. Additionally, verify that the shoes have undergone a professional cleaning and disinfection process. For certain regions, a Pre-shipment Inspection (PSI) or a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) may be required to prove the goods are not hazardous waste.

Used shoes are typically packed in 25kg or 50kg sacks (bales). To maximize container utilization, a 40ft HC container should ideally fit between 700 to 800 bales (approx. 20-25 tons). Ensure the supplier uses transparent or color-coded sacks to distinguish between men's, women's, and children's categories, which simplifies your inventory management upon arrival.

This is the most common risk in the used goods trade. You should never pay 100% upfront to a new supplier. Use secure payment terms and prioritize suppliers on Made-in-China.com who have undergone audited supplier verifications. Request a loading supervision report where a third party verifies that the bales loaded into the container match the agreed-upon quality grade.

Negotiation should focus on the ratio of branded items within a bale rather than just the price per kilo. A lower price is useless if the bale contains 50% unmarketable brands. Aim for a long-term partnership contract where the price is locked for 6-12 months, protecting you from seasonal price spikes during high-demand periods in Africa or Southeast Asia.

Many countries have strict import bans or high tariffs on used clothing and footwear to protect local industries. Before ordering, consult with a licensed customs broker in your destination country to confirm the HS Code (usually 6309.00) requirements. Ensure your supplier provides an accurate Packing List and Commercial Invoice that clearly states the goods are 'Used' to avoid customs seizures.

Always conduct transactions through official company bank accounts and avoid private transfers. Utilize the Trade Messenger tools on professional platforms like Made-in-China.com to keep a record of all specifications and promises made by the seller. This documentation is vital if a dispute resolution process is needed due to quality discrepancies.
