Sweatshirt fleece fabric manufacturers

When evaluating fleece, you must prioritize GSM (Grams per Square Meter), which typically ranges from 250 to 400 GSM for sweatshirts. Higher GSM indicates a heavier, warmer fabric. Additionally, verify the composition ratio (e.g., 80% cotton / 20% polyester is standard for balancing comfort and durability) and the brushing technique (single-sided vs. double-sided fleece) to ensure the desired hand-feel and thermal insulation.

To ensure market access and consumer safety, look for suppliers on Made-in-China.com who provide OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification, which guarantees the fabric is free from harmful substances. For organic requirements, verify GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard). If shipping to the US, ensure compliance with CPSIA regarding lead content and flammability standards for apparel textiles.

Request a lab dip for color accuracy and a pre-production sample to test for pilling resistance (ISO 12945-2) and colorfastness to washing. A critical performance metric for sweatshirt fleece is the shrinkage rate; professional-grade fabric should maintain a shrinkage of less than 5% after multiple industrial wash cycles.

For high-end or performance-wear brands, consider requesting anti-static treatments, moisture-wicking finishes, or anti-pilling coatings. If the target market is outdoor or workwear, you may also explore water-repellent (DWR) finishes that allow the fleece to shed light moisture while maintaining breathability.

Color shading between different production batches is a common risk. You should implement a 'Golden Sample' protocol where a signed sample is held by both parties. Ensure the contract specifies that all rolls must meet a Grayscale rating of 4 or higher compared to the approved sample, and utilize third-party inspections during the rolling process.

Focus on volume-based pricing tiers; for fleece, price breaks often occur at 1,000kg or 3,000 meters. Negotiate for inclusive testing costs in the unit price for large orders. Additionally, discuss payment terms such as a 30% deposit and 70% balance against the Bill of Lading (B/L) to protect your cash flow.

Sweatshirt fleece is bulky and heavy. To optimize costs, use vacuum packaging to reduce volume, though you must ensure the fabric can recover its loft after unpacking. For international shipping, FOB (Free On Board) is generally recommended for B2B buyers to maintain control over freight costs and choose reliable forwarders who specialize in textile logistics.

Always conduct transactions through secured payment channels and prioritize Audited Suppliers on Made-in-China.com. These suppliers have undergone rigorous on-site verification by independent agencies like SGS or Bureau Veritas, significantly reducing the risk of fraud or sub-standard manufacturing facilities.
