Stainless steel oil can manufacturers

For food-grade applications, you should prioritize 304 (18/8) or 316 stainless steel. These grades are highly corrosion-resistant and ensure that the oil does not react with the metal, preserving the purity and flavor of the contents. Avoid 201 series stainless steel for long-term food storage as it is more prone to rusting in humid environments.

Look for a drip-free spout design to maintain hygiene and reduce waste. A built-in air vent is crucial for smooth pouring without glugging. Additionally, ensure the lid has a tight-fitting silicone seal to prevent oxidation and keep the oil fresh by blocking air exposure.

Ensure the supplier provides FDA (US) or LFGB (EU) certification reports. These tests confirm that the product is free from heavy metals and that the surface treatment (polishing or coating) does not leach harmful chemicals into the oil. Requesting a Material Mill Test Certificate (MTC) is also a professional way to verify the steel grade.

A mirror-polished finish offers a premium look but may show fingerprints, whereas a brushed or satin finish is more practical for high-traffic kitchens as it hides scratches and smudges. If choosing a colored finish, ensure it is PVD coated or powder-coated rather than painted to prevent peeling.

Utilize third-party inspection services (like V-Trust or SGS) before shipment to perform a chemical spot test on the steel. On platforms like Made-in-China.com, prioritize 'Audited Suppliers' who have had their manufacturing facilities and business licenses verified by independent agencies.

Focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Negotiate for customized packaging to reduce breakage during transit and ask for a tiered pricing structure where the unit cost drops as your volume increases. Always clarify the lead time for mass production versus sample approval.

Stainless steel cans are prone to denting. Insist on 5-layer corrugated export cartons and individual bubble wrap or color box packaging. For shipping, compare FOB (Free On Board) terms to have more control over your freight forwarder, especially when shipping to countries with complex customs like the US or UK.

Always use Secured Trading Services provided by the platform to ensure your payment is held in escrow until the shipping documents are verified. Avoid direct wire transfers to private accounts; ensure the bank account name matches the company name on the audited profile.
