Sanitary ware/ceramic toilet manufacturers

When evaluating ceramic toilets, prioritize Grade A vitreous china with a water absorption rate of less than 0.5% to prevent odors and cracking. Ensure the glaze thickness is between 0.6mm and 1.1mm, and specifically check if the internal trapway is fully glazed to ensure smooth waste discharge and prevent clogging. For flushing performance, look for a MaP (Maximum Performance) score of 600g to 1,000g.

Compliance is region-specific: for the North American market, products must have CUPC (Uniform Plumbing Code) and WaterSense certification. For the European market, look for the CE mark and compliance with EN 997 standards. For the Australian market, the WaterMark and WELS (Water Efficiency Labelling and Standards) are strictly required to ensure water-saving efficiency and structural safety.

A high-quality finish should be self-cleaning and antibacterial, often utilizing nano-glaze technology. Inspect the surface under strong light for pinholes, black spots, or 'orange peel' textures, which indicate poor firing processes. A smooth, high-gloss finish not only improves aesthetics but also significantly reduces the accumulation of bacteria and lime scale over time.

Buyers should choose based on the application: Siphonic jet flushing is quieter and offers a cleaner bowl surface, making it ideal for residential and hotel projects. Washdown flushing uses less water and has a larger trapway, which is better for public high-traffic areas to minimize maintenance. Dual-flush systems (3L/6L) are now the industry standard for meeting global sustainability and water-conservation regulations.

Ceramics are fragile, so you must mandate 5-layer corrugated export cartons with molded foam (EPS or EPE) that fits the toilet's contours. For LCL (Less than Container Load) shipments, require fumigated wooden pallets or crates. Always include a clause in the contract for a breakage allowance (typically 1-3%) and ensure the supplier uses heavy-duty edge protectors.

Focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Negotiate for spare parts (e.g., 2% extra flush valves and seat covers) to be included at no cost. If you are placing a large volume order, request a mold fee rebate after a certain quantity is reached. Always verify if the supplier is a Gold Member or Audited Supplier on Made-in-China.com to ensure manufacturing legitimacy.

Use Secured Trading services provided by Made-in-China.com to protect your payments. Never wire the full amount upfront; a standard 30% deposit and 70% balance against the Bill of Lading (B/L) is recommended. Conduct a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) through a third party like SGS or Intertek to verify that the flushing function and dimensions match the approved sample before the final payment.

Toilets are heavy and high-volume, so Sea Freight (FCL) is the most economical method. Ensure your freight forwarder is experienced in heavy-lift cargo to avoid overweight surcharges at the destination port. Provide the correct HS Code (typically 6910.10) to your customs broker to ensure accurate anti-dumping duty assessment, which can vary significantly between countries.
