Restaurant ice cream counter manufacturers

Prioritize food-grade 304 stainless steel for the exterior and interior to ensure corrosion resistance and hygiene. The cooling system should feature a high-efficiency compressor (e.g., Embraco or Secop) and copper tube evaporators for stable temperature control. For display units, ensure the glass is triple-pane tempered vacuum glass with heating wires to prevent condensation and maintain visibility.

Hard ice cream typically requires a storage temperature of -18°C to -22°C, while gelato needs a slightly warmer range of -12°C to -15°C for optimal texture. Look for units with ventilated (air-cooled) refrigeration rather than static cooling to ensure uniform temperature distribution and prevent ice crystal formation on the product.

For the North American market, NSF/ANSI 7 certification for commercial refrigerators is critical. For the European market, ensure the product carries the CE mark and complies with RoHS directives. Additionally, verify that the refrigerant used is eco-friendly, such as R290 or R404a, to align with international environmental regulations.

Select designs with LED internal lighting to enhance product appeal and automatic defrost functions to reduce manual maintenance labor. For high-traffic environments, choose counters with heavy-duty casters for easy cleaning and ergonomic rear-sliding doors to minimize cold air loss during service.

Ice cream counters are fragile and heavy. Insist that the supplier uses full wooden crate packaging (IPPC certified) rather than just cardboard. Request photos of the internal bracing before sealing. It is also highly recommended to purchase Marine Cargo Insurance to cover potential structural damage or refrigerant leaks caused by turbulence during transit.

Focus on the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Negotiate for a spare parts kit (1-2% of order value) including extra thermostats, gaskets, and fan motors. For bulk orders, aim for a 30% deposit and 70% balance payment after a successful third-party pre-shipment inspection (PSI).

Voltage and frequency mismatches are common pitfalls. Explicitly confirm the required Voltage (110V/220V) and Frequency (50Hz/60Hz) in the Proforma Invoice. Additionally, specify the plug type (e.g., NEMA for USA, Schuko for EU) to avoid the need for unsafe adapters in a commercial kitchen.

Since returning large equipment is cost-prohibitive, secure a minimum 12-month warranty on the compressor. Ensure the supplier provides English-language technical manuals and wiring diagrams. Verify if the supplier can provide video technical support for local technicians to facilitate quick repairs.
