Gwm parts manufacturers

The most critical step is to verify the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) and the OEM Part Number. GWM models often have regional variations; for instance, a Haval H6 sold in Australia may have different braking components than one sold in South Africa. Always request the supplier to cross-reference the GWM Electronic Parts Catalogue (EPC) to ensure a 100% fit.

Buyers should distinguish between three tiers: Original Equipment (OE/Genuine), which comes in branded GWM packaging; OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), produced by the same factories (like Bosch or ZF) but without the GWM logo; and Aftermarket (IAM). For critical safety components like airbags or engine internals, prioritize Genuine or high-tier OEM to maintain vehicle integrity.

Parts must adhere to the destination country's safety standards. For the EU, look for E-mark (ECE) certification on lighting and glass. For the US, DOT/SAE compliance is mandatory. Ensure the supplier provides ISO/TS 16949 or IATF 16949 certification, which are the gold standards for automotive quality management systems.

Request Salt Spray Test reports for metal body parts to ensure corrosion resistance, and Material Analysis reports for suspension arms to verify tensile strength. For plastic components like bumpers, confirm the use of PP+EPDM materials, which offer better impact absorption and paint adhesion compared to recycled plastics.

Utilize Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services and prioritize Audited Suppliers. Request high-resolution photos of the anti-counterfeit labels and QR codes found on genuine GWM packaging. For large orders, hire a third-party inspection agency (like SGS or Intertek) to perform a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) to verify part authenticity and quantity.

For heavy items like engines or gearboxes, insist on ISPM-15 compliant heat-treated wooden crates. For fragile items like windshields or headlamps, use double-walled corrugated boxes with custom foam inserts. To optimize costs, consider LCL (Less than Container Load) shipping for medium volumes, but ensure the supplier uses palletization to prevent damage during transit.

Ensure the HS Code (Harmonized System) is accurately declared (e.g., 8708 for general parts). For electronic modules (ECUs), provide MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) if they contain batteries or capacitors. Be aware of Intellectual Property (IP) rights; ensure your supplier has the authorization to export branded GWM goods to avoid seizures by customs.

Focus on Annual Purchase Volume (APV) rather than single-order quantity to secure better pricing. Ask for a 'Sample Rebate' where the cost of samples is deducted from the first bulk order. Additionally, negotiate for a 1-2% defect allowance or the inclusion of extra 'wear-and-tear' small parts (like clips and gaskets) at no extra cost to offset potential minor shipping damages.
