Glass door hang wheel manufacturers

When sourcing glass door hang wheels, the most critical factor is the load-bearing capacity, which must exceed the actual weight of the glass door by at least 20% to ensure safety. Look for wheels made of high-strength POM (Polyoxymethylene) or nylon for silent operation, paired with 304 or 316 stainless steel housings to prevent corrosion. Additionally, verify the applicable glass thickness, typically ranging from 8mm to 12mm, to ensure a secure fit without slippage.

High-quality hang wheels should pass a cycle test of at least 100,000 to 200,000 openings/closings without significant wear. You should prioritize suppliers who use precision ball bearings rather than simple sleeve bearings, as they provide a smoother sliding experience and lower noise levels (below 30dB). Requesting a salt spray test report (e.g., 48-96 hours) is essential if the product will be used in high-humidity environments like bathrooms or coastal regions.

For international trade, ensure the product complies with EN 1527 standards for sliding door hardware, which classifies products based on durability and door mass. If the hang wheels are part of a complete shower system, they may need to meet CE marking requirements for the EU or ANSI/BHMA standards for the North American market. Always verify that the clamping mechanism includes anti-jump features to prevent the door from derailing.

Yes, you must distinguish between frameless and framed glass doors. Frameless doors require precision-engineered clamps with protective gaskets (usually EPDM or silicone) to prevent direct metal-to-glass contact, which causes cracking. For heavy-duty sliding partitions, look for double-wheel or four-wheel configurations to distribute weight evenly and prevent track deformation.

Always request a pre-production sample and perform a third-party inspection (such as V-Trust or SGS) before the final balance payment. Focus the inspection on material composition (using a spectrometer to verify stainless steel grade) and dimensional accuracy, as even a 1mm deviation can render the hang wheel incompatible with the track.

Leverage volume-based pricing by requesting a tiered quote (e.g., 500, 2000, and 5000 units). To secure better terms, emphasize your long-term procurement plan rather than a one-off purchase. You can also negotiate for customized packaging or laser-etched branding at no extra cost if the order meets a specific MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity).

Glass door hang wheels are dense and heavy; therefore, sea freight (LCL or FCL) is the most economical method for bulk orders. Ensure the supplier uses reinforced double-corrugated export cartons and plastic pallets with shrink wrap to prevent moisture damage and box collapse during transit. For urgent samples, international couriers like DHL or FedEx are preferred, but ensure the HS Code (typically 8302.20) is correctly declared to avoid customs delays.

Utilize the Secured Trading services provided by Made-in-China.com to protect your payment until shipping documents are verified. Avoid using high-risk payment methods for initial transactions and always verify the supplier's Business License and ISO certifications through the platform's audited supplier reports to ensure they are a legitimate manufacturer rather than a small trading company.
