TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer) is the most common material due to its soft, realistic skin-like texture and lower production cost, making it ideal for competitive B2B pricing. However, Medical-grade Silicone is superior in terms of durability, heat resistance, and hypoallergenic properties. While silicone is more expensive, it does not require frequent powdering and has a longer shelf life for rental or high-end retail markets.

Ensure the product features a reinforced stainless steel or aluminum alloy skeleton with multi-axis articulated joints. This allows for a wide range of motion and ensures the doll can maintain various poses without structural failure. Buyers should request a load-bearing test report to confirm the skeleton can support the weight of the material (typically 30kg-50kg) without bending.

To ensure consumer safety and avoid customs seizures, products must comply with REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) and RoHS standards, specifically ensuring the absence of harmful phthalates and heavy metals. For the US market, compliance with California Proposition 65 is highly recommended. Always request Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) from the supplier.

Most professional manufacturers on Made-in-China.com offer OEM/ODM services. You can customize facial features (sculpting), skin tone, eye color, and hair type (implanted vs. wig). Advanced options include integrated heating systems, voice interaction modules, and internal skeletal upgrades for enhanced realism.

This category is often flagged as 'sensitive cargo.' It is crucial to use discreet packaging (plain brown boxes) and accurate but professional customs descriptions such as 'Life-size Mannequin' or 'Soft PVC Craft'. Check the import regulations of your specific country, as some regions have strict prohibitions or high tariffs on adult-themed items.

Focus on Sample Quality Verification before placing bulk orders. Negotiate a tiered pricing structure where the unit price drops by 15-25% for orders exceeding 50 units. Ask for a spare parts kit (including repair glue, skin patches, and cleaning tools) to be included in the initial shipment to reduce your after-sales maintenance costs.

Always utilize Secured Payment services provided by the platform to protect your funds until delivery. For large orders, hire a third-party inspection agency (like SGS or Intertek) to perform a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI). They should check for surface defects, joint flexibility, and odor levels, which are common quality issues in mass production.

Due to the high weight and volume, Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) is the only economically viable option for bulk orders, as air freight will often exceed the product cost. Ensure the supplier uses moisture-proof vacuum packaging and reinforced wooden crates to prevent the TPE material from deforming or developing mold during the 30-45 day transit period.
