Dirt bike grips manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize Thermoplastic Elastomers (TPE) or dual-compound synthetic rubber. TPE offers a balance of vibration dampening and durability, while dual-compound grips feature a firm inner sleeve for handlebar adhesion and a soft outer layer for rider comfort. Ensure the material is UV-resistant to prevent cracking and tackiness during outdoor storage.

The choice of pattern depends on the end-user's environment. Waffle patterns provide superior traction in muddy or wet conditions, whereas Diamond or Pillow-top patterns reduce vibration and are better for long-distance endurance riding. For professional racing applications, Half-Waffle designs are the industry standard as they offer a mix of palm comfort and finger-tip grip.

Standard dirt bike handlebars have a 7/8" (22mm) diameter. However, the throttle side grip must have a larger inner diameter (typically 24mm) to fit over the throttle tube. Verify that the supplier provides a matched pair with these specific dimensions. For high-end markets, look for Lock-On technology which eliminates the need for safety wire or grip glue, significantly reducing installation time.

Ensure the products comply with REACH and RoHS standards, particularly regarding phthalates and PAHs (Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons), as these grips have prolonged skin contact. For the US market, compliance with California Proposition 65 is often required. Request ISO 9001 certification from the manufacturer to ensure batch-to-batch consistency in rubber density.

Request a pre-shipment sample and conduct a heat-aging test (expose the grip to 60°C for 24 hours). If the grip becomes oily or overly soft, the compound is unstable. On Made-in-China.com, prioritize Audited Suppliers who provide third-party inspection reports to ensure the chemical composition matches the agreed specifications.

Focus on tooling costs and customization. If you require a custom logo (OEM), negotiate for a mold fee rebate once your cumulative order reaches a certain volume (e.g., 5,000 pairs). Additionally, ask for tiered pricing based on packaging—bulk polybag packing can reduce costs by 5-10% compared to retail blister cards.

Rubber products are relatively heavy but low volume; therefore, Sea Freight (LCL) is most cost-effective for large orders. Ensure the HS Code (typically 4016.99) is correctly declared to avoid customs delays. For urgent stock replenishment, Air Express is viable, but ensure the supplier uses vacuum-sealed packaging to minimize volume weight and prevent oxidation during transit.

Always utilize Secured Trading Services provided by Made-in-China.com. Avoid direct wire transfers to private accounts. Use Escrow-based payment terms where the funds are only released to the supplier after you provide proof of Bill of Lading (B/L) or after a successful third-party quality inspection at the factory.
