China kids toothbrush manufacturers

When sourcing kids' toothbrushes, the most critical factor is BPA-free and food-grade materials. Ensure the bristles are made of high-quality Nylon 612 or PBT, which offer better elasticity and lower moisture absorption. The handle should utilize non-toxic TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer) for a non-slip grip. Always verify compliance with FDA (US), CE (EU), and EN 71 standards to ensure the product is safe for children's oral use.

Bristles must be categorized by age: Extra-soft (0.01mm - 0.12mm diameter) for infants/toddlers to protect delicate gums, and Soft (0.15mm) for older children. A crucial quality indicator is the end-rounding rate; high-quality suppliers ensure over 80-90% of bristle ends are rounded to prevent gingival abrasion. For electric models, look for sonic vibration technology with a frequency between 28,000 to 31,000 strokes per minute.

To differentiate in the market, prioritize toothbrushes with ergonomic 'fat' handles for small hands, tongue cleaners on the back of the head, and suction cup bases for hygienic upright storage. For electric versions, smart timers (2-minute auto-off) and pressure sensors are high-value features that justify a premium price point.

Electric models must have an IPX7 waterproof rating to allow for full immersion and easy cleaning. The battery should be a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery providing at least 21-30 days of use on a single charge. Ensure the charging method is a USB inductive charging base or a secure DC port to prevent electrical hazards.

Always request a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) conducted by a third-party agency like SGS or Intertek. Specifically, ask for a bristle tuft retention test (pull test) to ensure bristles do not fall out and become a choking hazard. Utilize Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services to ensure payment is only released after the goods pass quality verification.

Focus on MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) flexibility for customized colors or OEM branding. A standard MOQ is usually 5,000–10,000 units for custom packaging, but you can negotiate a lower MOQ for trial orders by using the supplier's existing mold and stock colors. Ask for tiered pricing where the unit cost drops by 10-15% when moving from 10k to 50k units.

Toothbrushes are lightweight but high-volume. Use High-Cube (HC) containers to maximize space. For electric toothbrushes containing batteries, ensure the supplier provides a UN38.3 test report and MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) to comply with international air and sea freight regulations for dangerous goods (Class 9).

Verify the HS Code (typically 960321) to calculate accurate import duties. Ensure the packaging includes mandatory labeling such as the 'Country of Origin' (Made in China), age grading, and manufacturer contact information. For the US market, ensure the manufacturer is registered with the FDA as a medical device facility.
