Bulldozer caterpillar d6r manufacturers

When sourcing a D6R, prioritize the undercarriage condition, as it represents nearly 50% of maintenance costs; check for wear on bushings, rollers, and track links. Inspect the Cat C9 engine for blow-by and ensure the differential steering system operates smoothly without hesitation. Verify the hydraulic cylinder seals for leaks and check the blade trunnions for excessive play, which indicates heavy past usage.

The D6R typically features a net power of 130-150 kW (175-200 hp). Ensure the unit meets EPA Tier 2 or Tier 3 equivalent emission standards depending on your local environmental regulations. For safety compliance, verify the presence of a certified ROPS (Roll-Over Protective Structure) and FOPS (Falling Object Protective Structure). Request the Product Identification Number (PIN) to verify the year of manufacture and service history via Caterpillar’s database.

Calculate the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) by factoring in the remaining life of the Ground Engaging Tools (GET) and the cost of shipping a 20-ton machine. Negotiate for a package deal if purchasing multiple attachments (e.g., multi-shank ripper vs. winch). Choosing a supplier on Made-in-China.com that offers third-party pre-shipment inspections can prevent costly repairs upon arrival, saving up to 20% in unforeseen maintenance.

The D6R is a versatile 'workhorse' ideal for land clearing, highway construction, and heavy dozing. Performance benchmarks include a blade capacity of 3.89 to 5.62 cubic meters and the ability to maintain high productivity in sloping terrain due to its high-drive sprocket design. For mining or waste handling, ensure the unit is equipped with specialized guarding and cooling packages.

The biggest risks include misrepresentation of machine hours and hidden structural damage. To mitigate this, always use Escrow payment services or Letters of Credit (L/C) to ensure funds are only released upon verification of shipping documents. Avoid suppliers who refuse to provide live video walk-arounds of the engine running and hydraulic systems under load.

The D6R is typically shipped via Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) or Flat Rack containers. Ensure the supplier provides a detailed lashing and shoring plan to prevent movement during transit. Confirm if the blade and ripper need to be disassembled to reduce the shipping volume and save on freight costs. Always secure Marine Cargo Insurance covering 110% of the CIF value.

Focus negotiations on spare parts packages (e.g., including extra filters, seals, and track bolts) rather than just the sticker price. Request a warranty on major components (engine, transmission, pump) for at least 6 months or 1,000 hours. On platforms like Made-in-China.com, prioritize Audited Suppliers who have undergone on-site verification by independent bodies like SGS or TÜV Rheinland.

Verify the Harmonized System (HS) Code (typically 8429.11) to determine import duties in your country. Ensure the machine is professionally cleaned before shipment to pass biosecurity and environmental inspections (especially for Australia, USA, or EU). Request a Certificate of Origin to take advantage of any applicable Free Trade Agreements (FTA) that may reduce tariffs.
