Armwrestling medal manufacturers

For professional armwrestling competitions, Zinc Alloy is the preferred material due to its high density, weight, and ability to achieve 3D high-relief details which are essential for capturing the muscular definition of arms. For budget-friendly or mass-participation events, Iron or Brass with die-striking can be used. Ensure the medals undergo electroplating (Gold, Silver, or Bronze) with an anti-oxidation coating to prevent tarnishing over time.

Armwrestling medals often require a larger diameter (70mm-90mm) and a thickness of 4mm-6mm to convey a sense of strength and prestige. Pay close attention to the ribbon attachment point; it must be reinforced to support the heavier weight of the medal. Customization should include recessed areas for soft enamel or laser engraving on the back for specific weight classes and event dates.

Ensure the manufacturer complies with RoHS and REACH standards, specifically verifying that the medals are Lead-Free and Nickel-Free to prevent skin irritation for athletes. If the medals are intended for youth competitions, they must meet CPSIA (Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act) requirements. Always request a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for the plating chemicals used.

Check for polishing consistency; the edges should be smooth with no burrs or sharp points that could cause injury. The enamel coloring should be vibrant, level, and free of air bubbles. For a premium look, request sandblasting in the recessed areas to create a contrast with the polished raised metal parts. A high-quality lanyard (sublimated polyester) with a width of at least 30mm is recommended for durability.

The primary risk is a discrepancy between the digital proof and the physical product. Always request a pre-production sample before the full run. Use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services to ensure your payment is protected until the goods pass inspection. Additionally, verify the supplier's Audit Report on the platform to confirm their actual production capacity.

Focus on mold fee waivers; many suppliers will waive the mold cost if the order exceeds 500 or 1,000 units. Negotiate based on Total Landed Cost, including the weight-based shipping fees, as medals are heavy. Ask for tiered pricing (e.g., 100, 500, 1000 pcs) to understand the economies of scale, which can often lead to a 20-40% unit price reduction at higher volumes.

Since medals are high-density items, Air Freight can be expensive. For orders over 100kg, Sea Freight (LCL) or Rail Freight (for Europe) is more economical. Ensure the packaging includes individual polybags for each medal and double-walled corrugated export cartons with internal padding to prevent scratching and damage during transit.

Confirm the HS Code (typically 7117.19 or 8306.29) with your supplier to determine the exact import duty in your country. Be aware of Anti-Dumping duties that some regions apply to specific metal products from China. Ensure all Commercial Invoices and Packing Lists clearly state the material composition to avoid customs delays.
