2 door metal wardrobe manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize cold-rolled steel (SPCC) with a thickness of at least 0.6mm to 0.8mm for structural durability. Ensure the surface treatment uses electrostatic powder coating, which provides superior scratch resistance and anti-corrosion properties compared to liquid paint. Additionally, verify the load-bearing capacity per shelf, which should ideally be ≥35kg for industrial or commercial use.

For the European market, ensure the product meets REACH standards for chemical safety in coatings. For North America, compliance with ANSI/BIFMA X5.9 for storage units is critical to ensure stability and prevent tip-over accidents. Furthermore, look for ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) certifications to guarantee consistent manufacturing standards.

Focus on the locking mechanism; high-quality units utilize three-point locking systems or cyber locks with master key capabilities. The hinges should be tested for at least 50,000 open/close cycles. For wardrobes used in humid environments, specify stainless steel hardware to prevent rust and ensure long-term functionality.

Knock-Down (KD) structures are highly recommended for cross-border sourcing as they reduce shipping volume by up to 70%, significantly lowering freight costs. However, ensure the supplier provides clear 3D assembly instructions or video guides. Fully assembled units are sturdier but carry a much higher risk of transit damage and increased logistics expenses.

Request 5-layer corrugated cardboard packaging with EPS foam corner protectors and internal padding. For LCL (Less than Container Load) shipments, insist on palletization to prevent rough handling. You should also require a drop test report (ISTA 1A or 3A) from the supplier before the goods leave the factory.

Negotiate based on volume-based pricing tiers; typically, a 40HQ container order can yield a 10-15% discount compared to LCL orders. Discuss OEM/ODM customization early, such as custom colors (RAL K7 chart) or logo embossing, which adds brand value without significantly increasing the unit price if the MOQ (usually 50-100 units) is met.

Always use Secured Payment services provided by Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released after proof of shipment. Conduct a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) via a third-party agency like SGS or Bureau Veritas to verify that the steel thickness and coating quality match the proforma invoice specifications.

Check for Anti-Dumping Duties (ADD) or Countervailing Duties (CVD) on steel furniture originating from China in your specific country. Ensure the supplier provides a correct HS Code (typically 9403.10 for metal office furniture) and a Certificate of Origin (CO) to potentially benefit from preferential tariff rates under Free Trade Agreements.
