150cc piston for sale manufacturers

Buyers must prioritize dimensional accuracy and material composition. Ensure the bore diameter matches the specific engine model (e.g., GY6 150cc or CB150) with a tolerance of ±0.01mm. The piston should be made of high-silicon aluminum alloy (e.g., ZL109) to ensure low thermal expansion and high wear resistance. Additionally, verify the compression height and pin diameter (usually 13mm or 15mm) to ensure compatibility with the connecting rod.

Look for suppliers utilizing CNC precision machining and forging or high-pressure die-casting methods. Quality benchmarks should include ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 certifications, which are standard for automotive and motorcycle components. Request hardness test reports (typically 90-120 HB) and surface treatment details, such as tin plating, molybdenum disulfide coating, or anodizing, which reduce friction and prevent 'scuffing' during the engine break-in period.

While pistons themselves are sub-components, they must meet the mechanical property requirements of the target market's automotive standards. For the EU, ensure the supplier follows REACH and RoHS regarding heavy metal content in alloys. For the US market, compliance with SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) standards for material integrity is highly recommended to avoid liability issues related to engine failure.

A premium kit should include high-resilience piston rings (often nitrided or chrome-plated), a hardened steel piston pin, and secure circlips. The weight balance between pistons in a batch should have a variance of less than 2 grams to prevent engine vibration. Furthermore, the oil return holes must be cleanly drilled and deburred to ensure proper lubrication and prevent oil consumption issues.

Always request a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) by a third-party agency like SGS or Intertek. On Made-in-China.com, prioritize Audited Suppliers who have undergone verified on-site inspections. Request a material analysis report (Spectrometer test) to confirm the aluminum alloy grade before the final balance payment is made.

Pistons are high-volume commodities; therefore, tiered pricing is standard. Negotiate based on annual volume rather than a single order to secure a lower unit price. If you are a startup, look for suppliers offering 'Ready-to-Ship' items with lower MOQs (e.g., 50-100 sets) to test the market, then scale to FOB pricing for container-load orders to reduce per-unit logistics costs.

Pistons are susceptible to surface scratches and moisture. Ensure the supplier uses VCI (Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor) paper or anti-rust oil coating. Each piston should be individually boxed with EPE foam padding. For international shipping, specify seaworthy palletization with plastic wrap to prevent humidity-induced oxidation during long transit times.

Utilize Secured Trading Services provided by Made-in-China.com to ensure your payment is only released after proof of shipment. Stay informed on Anti-Dumping Duties (ADD); some regions impose higher tariffs on aluminum components from specific countries. Ensure the HS Code (typically 8409.91) is correctly declared on the Commercial Invoice to avoid customs delays and incorrect duty assessments.
