100kw induction furnace manufacturers

When sourcing a 100kw induction furnace, you must prioritize the Power Supply Efficiency and Frequency Range. Ensure the unit utilizes IGBT Module Technology (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) rather than older MOSFET technology for better energy efficiency and stability. Verify the Melting Rate (e.g., how many kilograms of steel or copper per hour) and ensure the Cooling System (water-cooled cables and internal heat exchangers) is rated for continuous 24/7 operation.

For global trade, the equipment must carry the CE Marking for the European market or UL/CSA certification for North America. Specifically, look for compliance with IEC 60519-1 (Safety in electroheating installations) and EN 61000-6-2/4 regarding Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) to ensure the furnace does not interfere with other factory electronics.

Calculate the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) by factoring in the Energy Consumption per Ton of metal melted. A high-efficiency 100kw furnace should achieve a power factor of 0.95 or higher. Additionally, evaluate the Crucible Lifespan and the cost of replacement linings, as these are recurring operational expenses that significantly impact long-term profitability.

The furnace must be equipped with an Automatic Protection System that triggers during Over-voltage, Over-current, Water Shortage, or Phase Loss. Ensure the design includes a Leakage Alarm for the crucible to prevent molten metal from contacting the induction coils, which is a critical safety requirement for industrial environments.

Always mandate a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) conducted by a third-party agency like SGS or Intertek. Request a Video Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) where the supplier demonstrates the furnace reaching full power (100kw) and melting a sample load. Use Secure Payment Terms such as a Letter of Credit (L/C) or escrow services provided by Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released upon proof of shipment.

Focus negotiations on the Warranty Period and Spare Parts Package. Aim for at least a 12 to 24-month warranty on the main PCB and IGBT modules. Negotiate for a 'Wear-and-Tear' kit to be included in the initial price, containing extra water-cooled cables, sensors, and thyristors, which reduces future downtime and shipping costs for small parts.

Due to the weight and sensitivity of the power cabinets, specify Seaworthy Vacuum Packaging with moisture-proof silica gel and Shock-Absorbing Wooden Crates. Confirm the Incoterms clearly; for heavy machinery, CIF or DAP is often preferred by buyers to ensure the seller handles the complexities of international freight. Ensure the supplier provides a Detailed Installation Manual and Remote Technical Support via video link for the commissioning phase.
